It's finally time for the court hearing. My attorney thinks I got a good chance of me getting Kayden.
Ari, Ben, three, boomer, Teelee, my momma, and Kendall is with me for support.
My attorney told me That they will have Kayden answering questions but not to many because he only 4.
Ari was holding Kayden hand as they talked. Half of the time I anit even know what they was talking bout.
As I was sitting and talking to my attorney, Nisha walked in being loud as fuck.
Even tho imma gang banger I changed my life around with this music shit.
"All rise, the Honorable Judge Williams presenting..."
"You may now be seated. We're here today in the case of Kentrell Gaulden vs Nisha Miller of the custody of Kayden Gaulden."
"The plaintiff may state your case."
"Yes your honor. My name is Kentrell Gaulden and I am Kayden Gaulden biological father. Recently there's been several instances that I believe resulted in neglect on Ms. Miller's behalf. I believe that my son would be better served in my custody so that I can provide adequate care for her." I said I really anit know what half these words me I just need them to get my son.
"Mr. Gaulden, do you have any other children in your household?"
"Yes sir, your honor." I said.
"The defendant may state her case."
"Yes sir. My son is currently in good care and I think I done a damnn good job with him. I honestly believe this comes from the plaintiff of not paying child support." She said.
"Your honor I am currently not on any child support. I provide for my son's daily." I said getting irritated now.
"Ms. Miller I see here that your other son is no longer in your custody. Care to elaborate on that?"
"No sir I don't want to elaborate and I feel that is irrelevant to this case!" She said.
"With all do respect ma'am, if one child is removed from the household, it definitely affects the other children in the home. So please explain the situation."
"My daughter's father didn't like the way I was raising her so he took her." She said.
"Have you ever been charged with abuse?"
"Yes sir, your honor. But those charro were dropped." She said.
I couldn't help but shake my head. I pray that this all turns out the way it's supposed to and I get my son.
I never want him to go through unnecessary bullshit.
Half of the shit I do, I do it for my kids. If some happen to Draco, tay tay, k3 or, kacey, or Lonnie even if she not my child ima go crazy.
The judge then called Draco up to the podium as he asked her a few questions.
He did so lowly so no one can hear it. He then called Nisha and I into his chamber.
"I spoke with your son as well as reviewed each individual. There are some concerns. Mr. Gaulden, are you still active in any gang affiliations?"
"No sir, I'm not active and I don't associate with the gang." I said lying my ass off just gimme my son.
"What about you Ms. Miller?"
"No your honor I am not active." She said.
"Due to your previous history, we will need to give you a drug test Ms. Miller."
"Is that really necessary?" She said.
Yes ma'am. It's apart of a new initiative to make sure we aren't placing children in harm anyway."
I looked at Nisha and could see the look of panic spread across her face.
After an hour break he called Nisha inside his chamber.
I'm still a lil nervous.
Then I seen her walk out rolling her eyes. We went back to the courtroom, and the judge finally was ready to give his verdict I said a lil prayer and waited.
"In the case of Gaulden vs Miller. I have decided to grant Kentrell Gaulden permanent custody of Kayden Gaulden. Court is now adjourned."
I closed my eyes and said another prayer. This time thanking god.
I felt Montana rub my shoulder and I grabbed his hand and held it.
Ari then walked up and kissed me as Kayden ran over wrapped his arms around my waist.
There's nothing in this world greater than this moment. I finally got my son!
We left the courthouse and I asked everybody if they wanted to go out and get something to eat.
We left and went to get tay tay and Lonnie. We then went to one of Kayden favorite places to eat.
We ate, talked and laughed. This is what I want out of life and I know without and doubt that Ari is the one I want it with.
As the night ended we ain't have to go to the store to get Kayden new sheets because he already has some at Ari house and my house.
