Kyle and Fanboy sat down in class half listening to the announcements. "Good morning students! Todays lunch will be," Fanboy stared off at Kyle finding him much more interesting than the announcements until they heard. "Don't forget, next month is homecoming. Single tickets are 8$ but couples are 10$ Make sure to put your grade down because all the money from each student goes towards prom the more kids that show up the less prom tickets will cost for you in the future."

Kyle scoffed softly. "Doesn't matter, we're already seniors, prom gonna be expensive either way." Fanboy stifled a laugh but looked at Kyle endearingly. He decided he'd spent the next few nights making something really special to ask Kyle to the dance with.

'a poster? Nah too basic, Kyle deserves it all since he didn't go to the past dances.' Fanboy thought in his seat and pulled out a notebook writing down ideas and trying to piece together the ideal setting, what he'd say. He'd have everything planned out to the last detail by next week, hopefully sooner.

Kyle looked over at Fanboy with an eyebrow raised. 'What is he writing?' He shrugged it off not wanting to pry into Fanboy and if he wanted kyle to know he'd tell him.

A few classes later it was lunch. ChumChum had invited Fanboy and Kyle to join him and Sigmund for it. Kyle frowned when fanboy told him about it. "Do we have to?" He whined. "I'd rather have lunch with you, alone. ChumChum hates me and Sigmund isn't exactly my biggest fan...."

"Kyleee it's okay, ChumChum doesn't hate you.... Anymore. I'm sure it'll be fine. You've been a loner for too long, now you have a chance to have 3 really close friends and not just me and when ChumChum was in a good mood."

Kyle thought about it, he heard the hopefulness in Fanboys voice. He knew Fanboy wanted everyone to be friends and he didn't wanna disappoint him. He followed Fanboy to the table where ChumChum and Sigmund already were sitting at, they sat across from them. Kyle staring nervously at Sigmund and Fanboy widely smiling at ChumChum.

Fanboy felt Kyle tense and frowned leaning over to whisper. "Hey hey, it's okay, we're here. Are you okay? You look like you're going to faint." He didn't get a response. "Kyle.... Kyle? Are you breathing?" He listened closely to try and hear if he was. He wasn't. "Kyle!" Fanboy wrapped his arms around kyles stomach, like he was just hugging him from behind, and pulled inwards to force Kyle to breathe.

Which it did, his breathing became labored and deep and the color slowly returned to his face. "Wh....at the... heck was that.... For?" Kyle asked turning to fanboy who had a relieved expression.

"You weren't breathing." He said frowning a little. "I seriously thought you were gonna have a stroke or pass out or something."

Kyle leaned on fanboys shoulder wrapping his arms around his waist pouting slightly out of embarrassment that he made a scene. "Oh... okay then." He mumbled smiling knowing fanboy cares about him.

Sigmund and ChumChum talked mainly with Fanboy seeing as kyle didn't even want to be there. "So.. Kyle, you thinking about going to the dance?" ChumChum asked clinging onto Sigmund trying to play up the act.

"Oh um, I'm not sure." He gave a nervous smile glancing up towards fanboy. "I was thinking about it but I dunno, dances never seemed like something I'd enjoy. I did go to the one in elementary when Fanboy brought moppy, but I was always more focused on Milkweed applications then getting nice clothes for one night a year. Studying seemed more useful for me." Kyle laughed softly telling Sigmund the story about when fanboy brought a mop as his date and got broken up with while almost dating ChumChums cousin.

Fanboy frowned slightly, he never realized how lonely Kyle truly was. He chose studying over hanging out with everyone. He spent years hold up in his room, his face shoved in books and occasionally Man-Arctica comics. Suddenly fanboy looked up to the sound of his name. "Aren't you worried about Fanboy?" Sigmund sneerered. "What if he goes for Chums cousin again, or maybe even that mop."

"Fanboys not that type of guy." Kyle cut in quickly. "There's no way he'd leave me for a mop."
