One week later

Ugh. Another bad day is passing. Wait. Who is that???
It's Spy! He doesn't end up getting seated in my section, but I traded with Betsy, another waitress. "What can I get for you today Spy?" I asked, pen at the ready. "Just coffee, I mostly just came to see you." He said shyly.
"Hey, my shift's over in about 45 minutes, then we can go somewhere else" I laughed.
"Oops, a new customer, I gotta go." I said, walking off to take care of the older man sitting at table 7.
"What can I get for you today?" I ask. "Oh, I don't know, what about a kiss?" He said
"Uh, I don't feel comfortable with that," I said uncomfortably.
"Maybe later. I'll have a coffee and a fruit bowl." He ordered.
I get comments like this often, but it's still creepy and makes me feel bad.
After my shift, I meet spy outside and we go to the park. One of the things I like about him is that he always manages to make me laugh. We walked around for a little while, and after about an hour, I had to go home. I wanted to call one of my old friends.
I dial their number.
"Hey Aspen?"
"Y/n, is that you???"
"Yeah, it's me."
"Everyone is so worried about you, you need to call your mom."
"Um, I don't know, I don't really want to hurt her anymore than I already have. I think i might just lay low here for a while."
"Why can't you just come home, we can deal with it together?"
"You know why I can't do that. I'll come back someday soon, but I need some time away right now.
Could you please just tell my mom and dad I'm ok?"
"Yeah of course, but you need to call them sometime soon, they're making themselves sick with worry. "
"I will, I'm just not ready yet. Hey, I'll call you back in a bit, ok?"
"Hey, stay safe y/n, goodbye."
I hung up and started crying. Why didn't my parents believe me?
