The sun's glare past my faded windows caused my eyes to flutter awake. Right on cue the alarm rang, echoing the forbidden noise in my room. Drowsily, I hit the clock with my hand (after several poor attempts). Once my palm made contact with the object the sound muted, only making me groan into my pillow.

I mean, who would want to wake up around 6:00 in the morning?

My body wouldn't cooperate, it was as if my brain and my limbs were having a heated argument:

"Just move! You're going to be late if you keep this pace up!" my brain scolded the sore muscles.

"Oh shut up," my legs snapped. "You try moving twelve hours a day."

"I think I'm gonna pass out," my right hand whimpered.

"You guys are pathetic," my brain rolled its eyes.

Wait a minute, brains don't have—

My feet touched the cold floor, only to make jump back onto my bed and let the goosebumps shiver down my back. A sigh escaped my mouth as I reached for my nightstand to grab my phone. Unlocking it, a text appeared from my best, yet menacing friend, Jimin.

JM: Gm Kookkk, could you bring your black earrings to school today

JK: Hmm, going for an edgy look today?

I chuckled, for Jimin always used fashion and jewelry to express himself. Half of the time he uses my earrings, which I don't mind. He rather is very good looking, accurate to one of those hot boys in a cliché movie. My looks, are around the center. Average; that was the word.

I didn't mind, for I never seemed to be popular, but I was not all that lonely either. As said before, I was an average kid; who was good at his studies and his athletics. Average, indeed.

JM: A bit edgy I just wanna try something new lmao

JK: Alright I'll bring them

JM: Aw thank you Jungkookiee

JM: I love you

JM: say it back

JK: no

JM: I SAID SAY IT BACK

JK: Nope I'm leaving you on delivered now bye :)

Before he had got a chance to send a message I deliberately turned off my phone, hearing a notification sound ding yet I chose to ignore it with a tired beam. I expected him to be angry with me at school, I knew for a fact I was going to be yelled at.

As what most people do after they wake up, I ambled to my bathroom. I splashed cold water to deplete my exhaustion, the iced droplets streaming down my cheeks. I bit the inside of my cheek at I gazed at my reflection. I was fine with the way I looked; an average senior boy.

No where near as the one hot cliché character which went to the same school as I did. However, our friendship was never on good terms—no, there was no friendship.

It was simply a feud.

A feud which lasted for all of high school,  a feud which only began the second we made eye contact on the first day. He'd scoff, do some mischievous actions. The school flirt, where his gaze would put one under his spell. A charm, which would put one in bed with him.
