I heard it before I even got down there "Tyler James Hill, what are you doing here!"

"I got tired of Birmingham academy, so I left" Tyler shrugged.

"You can't just leave school!" She yelled.

"We'll I'm sorry I disappointed you!" He said raising his voice.

"We sent you to the school to teach you not to be a horrible -" my mom stopped herself looking very guilty.

"Thanks for the big welcome home!" Tyler forced out upset " and sorry I'm such a terrible disappointment to you!" He ran out the front door. I knew he'd be crying if it wasn't for his pride.

"Tyler!" My mother called out in a sob "I didn't mean it!"

I grabbed my rain jacket and and looked up into my mothers eyes. "Don't worry mom, I'll go talk to him" I assured her. She nodded as tears streamed down her face, and I ran out into the rain. I'd been running around for about ten minutes before I found Tyler collapsed at the base of a tree.

"Are you okay?" I asked hesitantly.

"Just dandy" he mumbled. I knelt in front of him and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"You know mom didn't mean what she said" I said sympathetically "she loves you."

"She doesn't love me, she has every right to hate me. I've caused nothing but trouble since the day I was born" he argued shakily.

"Yeah you might've been trouble" I sighed "but there is nothing you can do to make her quit loving you."

"Thanks" he smiled up at me. I pulled him into a hug and afterward he followed me back to the house where my mom hugged him fierce fully.
