Shu Mei looked at her room with satisfaction! While Ai Lua looked at her closet with disappointment....... Shu Mei pouted, "Hey! You are being too much! I think my sense of fashion is fair enough."

Ai Lua replied, "Well, yes. Your sense of fashion as an heiress is online but your sense of fashion for yourself is offline. I mean, look!" 

Ai Lua points at a very ladylike white lace dress. She exclaimed, "Who wears something like this casually?"

Shu Mei pouted, "I do." Ai Lua shook her head in defeat, "Yes, only you do! But this style doesn't suit you. You rather suit cool street style fashion."

But Shu Mei just won't listen to Ai Lua's advice.

It's been two days since they arrived in U.S. Currently Shu Mei is sharing an apartment with Ai Lua, of course, under the pressure of her family. Since it's her first time aboard, the Shu family thought it's better for her to stay with Ai Lua.

Even they enrolled in the same university as Ai Lua. Ai Lua is at her last year while she is a freshman.

Currently, both of them are having a heated argument about fashion. 

Ai Lua finally threw her last weapon, "Do you think I am beautiful?" Shu Mei answered in reflex, "Yes, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen!" Oops, she fell on the trap.

Looking at the smirk on Ai Lua's face her intuition solidified. Yep, she definitely must have stepped on a trap.

Ai Lua said while her whole face screams regret, "Pity, I don't think you are beautiful because of your fashion. Come on, listen to me! Let's get you a makeover!"

Shu Mei retorted, "Why should I?"

Ai Lua replied as a matter of fact, "Of course, to hook male creatures!"

Shu Mei choked! This woman! How can she be so shameless!!

While Ai Lua heard her dear kitten's voice, "As a guardian of red strings of fate, do you think what you are saying is eligible?" Ai Lua smiled proudly, "Sometimes, you just need to let your wild side be free."

In the end, under the continuous blabbering of Ai Lua, Shu Mei finally resigned to her fate and let this wild woman give her a makeover.

The first thing Ai Lua did was to take her to a hair parlor and gave her a hair cut. Long hair doesn't suit her sharp facial features. Rather short hair magnifies her beautiful features. So, in the end, Ai Lua made her have a shoulder-length hair cut. [A/N: Blackpink's Jennie's 'How you like that' haircut]

Shu Mei was extremely displeased with her decision. After all, she worked too hard to get her hair grown so long but after seeing herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but take a few more glances again. 

She never knew a haircut could make such a difference. The bitter feeling in her heart was washed away and was replaced with a feeling of satisfaction. Satisfied to see herself beautiful. 

Every woman wants to be beautiful. Not more anyone but for herself! 

Ai Lua smiled at the satisfied kitten. She said to her, "Done checking yourself out? You see, you need to change your wardrobe as well so we don't have much time! Chop chop! Gotta race against time!"

Ai Lua then dragged her to a clothing shop. She looked over cloths and started to pick one after another. While the salesman and Shu Mei awkwardly stayed at the sideline. If one saw Ai Lua, they will feel this woman hasn't shopped for millennium. Though it's actually true!

The main reason for Ai Lua's sudden craziness is not Shu Mei, rather she is racing against her time in the mortal world and enjoying as long as she can.

Finally holding several large bags, they both exited the shop. The salesman looked at their retreating back then told to the accountant, "That's my first time to see someone shopping so crazily!" 

The accountant laughed, "Well, it's also my first time. I gotta say those two are rich. You should have seen the bill. Hissss......... that costed quite a lot fortune!!"

Shu Mei finally voiced out her thoughts, "Ai Lua, enough! I am tired to hell! I need rest. No more shopping!" Ai Lua bitterly looked at Shu Mei. Suddenly her eyes brightened. Shu Mei had a bad premonition. 

Finally, she was again dragged into a shoe shop to buy heels, sneakers, boots and gladiators. Looking at the large bags on her hand, Shu Mei ponder over life. My lord, did she ever think she would get caught by a shopping crazy woman and follow her for 6 hours in shopping!!

Shu Mei was devastated and hungry. Finally Ai Lua showed her mercy and brought her to a restaurant. Shu Mei, looked at the restaurant and felt tears of happiness. Finally!!

Ai Lua looked at Shu Mei eating like she has been starved to death. She now kind of feels guilty for Shu Mei. Looks like she went a bit overboard!

Absolutely only a bit! Not much!

After finishing having dinner, Ai Lua and Mei Yue returned back to their apartment. 

Mei Yue was so tired that she felt her legs will never walk again on the ground. This time she really missed those heroes from idol drama. Gosh, if someone could princess carry her and put her down on the bed!

She somehow walked over her bed, slipped time to time on her way and finally laid down on her bed. She never felt so happy as she felt right now by laying down on the bed.

Ahhhh........... Feels like she won the world war III. On her defense, she actually did participate in a world war. A shopping world war with Ai Lua, where she is the victor and her prize is 'Ditch shopping and let's go home'.

Ai Lua looked at the tired woman who fell asleep immediately. She smiled and cover her with a blanket. She sat on the bed and caressed Shu Mei's hair.

She slowly whispered, "Little girl, I am sorry that your fate changed. But don't worry! I will make sure your ending is a good ending. I won't let your fate which had happy ending change."

A cat slowly appeared beside Ai Lua. He looked at the sleeping woman then said to Ai Lua, "Ai Lua, you don't have much time. You can only stay here atmost for a year. No more. So you better speed up your game."

Ai Lua softly smiled and rubbed the cat's head, "Don't worry, I will finish my job perfectly. And it will be done before the countdown ends."
