Kai thinks with his dick but he's not as shallow as you think. Kai is often seen flirting with women but he's a runner and always runs away from them when they show signs of affection. Beyond his constant flirting, Kai tries to keep a light heart and is always happy. He believes in living in the moment and is always sticking up for his friends when they need him. Kai often enjoys his solitude and it is true that those who show that they are happy are often the ones who are lonely.
Kai grew up with parents who always saw him as an item to bring their family away from poverty. Blessed with good looks, his parents had high hopes that he would get married into a noble family. He had never wanted this, and always wanted to be a peacemaker but was never given the chance to. One day, Kai was told he would go through an arranged marriage with the oldest sibling in the Byun family, Byun Bora. That was when he met Baekhyun, Baekhyun being Bora's younger brother.
On the day of the wedding, right at the altar, he couldn't take himself marrying out of responsibility and not love so he closed his eyes and visualized the entrance of the church. Right at that moment, he teleported to the front of the church and that marks the day he got his powers. Getting into SM, he met Baekhyun again, who was mad at him but they both rapidly became close friends due to their similar personalities.
His powers are teleportation but Kai has developed a physical skill through training in SM and he uses a spear and javelin in his duels. With only one weapon, Kai is able to teleport around and catch it, dealing damage to his enemies.
