Chapter 9 - The truth

Jiro struggled a bit now that she was awake.

"Let us go!" Jiro yelled but you look at her.

"Jiro, calm down!" You call out to her. She looks at you.

"I would listen to her. She is the only reason why your still alive." Overhaul says. Jiro glared at him but Overhaul looks at you.

"As you were saying. Where is the league of villains?" Overhaul says. Jiro looks at you confused.

"In the forest there is a cave. They are in there." You say. Jiro looks shocked. Overhaul nods.

"Grab her friend. I will take this one." Overhaul says as he puts his glove back on and grabs you, making you stand and Mimic grabs Jiro.

"Lets go." Overhaul says and you start to walk. You see its late at night and they get to the forest without any trouble.

"Damn it." Overhaul says and stops.

"What's wrong?" Mimic asks. Overhaul looks at him.

"It's too dark. If we continue, we could end up dead. We will rest for the night and in the morning, we will continue." Overhaul says and makes you sit, leaning on a tree. Mimick makes Jiro sit next to you and makes some wood from the tree wrap around you both. You haven't looked at Jiro since you left.

"How long did you know where they were?" Jiro asks you in a whisper. You have tears but you don't look at her directly. You do see her out of the corner of your eyes.

"The first day I was assigned." You answer back in a whisper. Jiro looks at you with a glare.

"Why? Why did you lie to everyone?" She asks. Overhaul looks at you both but don't stop either of you from talking. You look at Jiro.

"You remembered when I asked about Toga?" You ask. She nods, still glaring at you.

"I...I had a crush on her. I saw them hit her. The next day I snuck into her room and everyday after that. A month ago, the day I was reassigned, I asked her out." You said. Jiro's expression changed from a glare, to sadness. You looked away from her.

"I fell in love." You said. Overhaul rolled his eyes.

"No more talking. Sleep or shut up." Overhaul said. No more words were spoken after that from anyone till the sun started to rise. Mimic made the wood move and Mimic grabbed Jiro, making her stand while Overhaul grabbed you, making you stand. they then started to walk again. You then see the cave.

"It that it?" Overhaul asks. You give a nod.

"Good. Mimic. Take care of her friend. She's no longer useful." Overhaul said.

"Gladly." He said as Overhaul walked to the cave.

"No! No! Jiro!" You screamed as Jiro struggled. Mimic moved her behind some trees and Overhaul was about to go into the cave when an earsplitting sound rang out. Overhaul looked and you both saw Mimic go flying, hitting a tree before he falls. Overhaul runs over with you and you see blood coming out of the mans ears and mouth. Overhaul looks at where is came from.

"Damn it. She got away. Oh well. By the time the heroes get here, it will be to late." Overhaul says and drags you to the cave but you start to fight him, about to transform. Overhaul quickly hits you in the back of the head, knocking you out.
