There's all sorts of different titles.
Mr, Mrs, Professor, Dr, Sir, and probably a whole novel full of others.
Why do we use them? People say that it's showing respect, but what is respect other than something fictional that we created.
We only say that it's good to be respectful because that's what we decided.
We might be a confusing term for this. Perhaps it was someone's idea, but furthermore expanded upon by a whole line of other humans. We is a term used to describe something that happened over time.
I think titles are something people use to demonstrate the power that they posses.
When someone goes for surgery, they trust the Dr. that's doing it, right? Nobody really pays attention to who the person could be behind that title, because that's not important when they have the title on. The title is who the Dr. is when they are at work, and nobody else.
Sometimes I think that titles are just a little bit manipulative.
Enjoy?
