A Secret Life (chpt. 14) Confession Day

When Charles said that to her she was surprised and didn't know what  

to say.

Kumiko: ahh-..... Aish! *walks away*

Charles: *grabs her hand* who is it?

Kumiko: no one! Okay?! I can't decide today! *runs away*

Charles: ahh!.....

Kumiko runs away and went to her home. As she arrive, she jump on her  

bed and cry.

Morning....

Kumiko don't want to go to school for today. She just watch some TV  

and eat the whole day.

At school....

Becca: *in her mind* Kumiko is not here yet, where is she?

The bell rings and Becca just gave up waiting for Kumiko, she went in  

and the class starts.

Lunch time

Becca went to their usual spot. Leo saw Becca but didn't saw Kumiko.

Leo: *walks toward to her* Hey Becca!

Becca: hey... *saying it in sad tone*

Leo: What's the matter? And where's Kumiko?

Becca: That's the matter, Kumiko is absent today. *sad*

Leo: she's absent?! Why?

Becca: I don't know. Yesterday she's perfectly fine so it's impossible  

for her to have a sick today.

Leo: Maybe she's busy taking care of his grandfather.

Becca: Maybe, maybe not...

When Charles walks by, Becca saw him and called him.

Becca: Charles!

Charles: *notice her* Oh! Becca! *walks toward to them* What's up?

Becca: Do you know that Kumiko is absent today?

Charles: She's absent?!

Becca: Oh.... So you don't know.... I thought that you might know the  

reason why she's absent today....

Charles: *looks around* sorry I don't know.... *feels guilty*

Becca: That's okay.

Leo: Let's just eat! Charles, let's eat with her.

Charles: Sure! *fake smile* *deep inside he feels guilty*

As the class passed by, Leo tries to go at Kumiko's house.

As he arrive in front of her house he push the doorbell. At his 4th  

doorbell Kumiko opens the door and she saw Leo.

Kumiko: Leo! What're you doing here?

Leo: I just want to visit you *smiles*

Kumiko: You don't need to do that!

Leo: But I'm very worried! You didn't go to school today!

Kumiko: Sorry for making you worry. Oh! Come in!

When they went inside, Leo notices that her parents is not at home.
