Kairi POV:
The bus finally pulled up to the school and we were loaded off the bus. I wasn't nervous at first but now, there were knots in my stomach as I entered the school building. I walked through the halls lost, not knowing where to find the front office. I mean, you can't blame me the place was huge. I was about to give up on looking for it. "You lost?" I hear a voice ask from behind me. I turn around to be brought face to face with a short dark haired boy. "Hi I'm Alvaro. Are you lost?" He asked me. "Hi I'm Kairi. And yeah I'm new and can't find the front office anywhere." I told him. "Oh... well I can take you there! It's not that far from here!" He said kind of relieved. "Won't you be late for class?" I asked confused. "Yeah but I'll have an excuse to get out of the beginning of it. My first period teacher is kind of a bitch..." he said rolling his eyes. I laughed and said "Ok let's go."
We made it to the front office in two minutes. "Thanks for bringing me. Probably would've never found it!" I said smiling. "No problem! I'll wait for you so that I can walk you to your next class." He said. I told him ok and headed into the office. After about 10 minutes of paperwork I headed back to Alvaro with my schedule. "Oooh lemme see what classes you got!" He said excitedly. I handed it to him. He looked over it briefly then handed it back to me. "Well you've got two classes with me atleast! Your first class is with Me, Roshaun and Mattia." He said smiling happily. "Great! But who's Mattia and Roshaun?"I asked confused. " oh, just my friends." He replied as we started walking to first period. I was happy I actually met someone and I wouldn't have to sit at lunch by myself. Alvaro seemed like a nice person.we made it to the first period and walked in. I looked at my schedule, and saw that my teachers name is Ms Barrow.
"Mr Romero your late! again!" The teacher yelled clearly annoyed. " I was walking the new student to the front office and here to class! Also my mom said to stop calling her phone while she's working or she'll come up here and beat your ass you punta! Her words not mine!" He said causing the class to laugh. I'm guessing he's the class clown. " ok then... go sit down. But you... do you mind introducing yourself?" She asked as Alvaro sat down next to two boys who im guessing are Mattia and Roshaun. Their heads were turned so I couldn't see their faces. "Umm... yeah sure... uh I'm Kairi and I just moved here recently. I have a dog and a sister even though their pretty much the same..." I said earning laughs from the class. "Ok then... you can have a seat now." The teacher directed. I went and sat next to Alvaro. "Oh guys this is Kairi. I met him this morning he's cool. Kairi this is Roshaun," Alvaro said, "wassup." Roshaun said smiling. "Hey." I said smiling. "And this is Mattia!" Alvaro introduced. I looked over and all I could feel were butterflies in my stomach. He was different. I could feel it. And oh boy is he hot. I couldn't look away so I just sat there frozen staring at him. He smiled at me and that's when I noticed more about him than just his face. His smile was perfect. I smiled back and said "Hi..." "Hey. I'm mattia." I then looked over at Alvaro and Roshaun who were staring at us. "What?" I said. "Nothing..." Alvaro said smiling weirdly. "So, you got a girlfriend?" Roshaun asked me. "Nah... I'm gay." I said blatantly. I'm the type of person who doesn't really care what anyone thinks of me. I thought he would have a weird reaction but he didn't. "Oh, cool. Alvaro is too maybe you two could-" he started before I cut him off. "No no no! Im more into tall guys... Alvaro's like a garden knome!" I said laughing. "Damn Kai you ain't had to do em like that!" Mattia said laughing. "Kai?" I asked him smiling. He smiled. "Oh yeah it's a nickname I came up with for you... I hope that's ok." He said nervously. "Oh no! I like that nickname it's fine." I replied. "Mattia nervous? Wow this is an all new scene to me! And Kairi we're the same height so I guess your a garden knome too!" Alvaro said jokingly. "Oh shut up Aloe Vera!" Mattia said laughing. "Aloe Vera?" I asked laughing. "Oh it's something we call Alvaro sometimes because his name kind of sounds like aloe vera." Roshaun said laughing. "Ok ok I get geez." Alvaro said rolling his eyes smiling as the bell rang. "Ok see you guys at lunch! And Kairi you can sit with us. I'll introduce you to the rest of the group." Alvaro told me. And with that, we left class and I was excited for lunch.
