Monty POV:
I grew up in an abusive home that I couldn't escape from. When I was 8 years old My dad would constantly come in my room every night before bed and beat me. I was always flinching whenever someone came too close to me. This went on for years. When I turned 11, my dad left us, and it was the best and worst day of my life. That day he left is the day when the voices came. The voices in my head. They always told me to hurt people. Especially Kairi. They said if I didn't hit him my dad would come back and beat me. I'm in love with Kairi but now he hates me. I never wanted to hurt him but I was afraid of what my dad would do to me.
*Flashback*
One night, me and Kairi were arguing and that's when he said he hated me. It triggered what my dad told me while he used to beat me. He said everyone hates me and no one will ever love me. The voices told me to beat Kairi before he beat me. I tried to say no but they wouldn't stop. I hit him and he fell to the ground. He cried for me to stop but I couldn't stop until the voices stopped. I heard a door open and turned around and saw Maiya. She ran to her room and locked the door. Then, the voices stopped. "I'm sorry Kai! I didn't mean to! The voices-" I started but he stopped me "you always say that! But nothing ever changes!" He said crying as he got onto the bed and turned away from me.
*Flashback over*
I knew from that day I had to find a way to make them stop. I didn't find a way until I lost Kairi. I had to fight against them. Months after Kai left me the voices had finally stopped which is why I went looking for him. I called him but I was kind of scared that he would be mad I was calling. I mean, why wouldn't he be? I put him through hell. Maiya answered the phone. "Hello? Whose this?" She said in her sweet tone. "Oh hi Maiya... is Kairi there? I need to speak to him..." I said nervously. "M-Monty? Oh... Ok I'll get him." She replied nervously.
You guys know what happened. So, fast forward to when Monty entered the house.
I felt bad coming into his house but I was upset because he had already found a boyfriend. I'm still in love with him but he found a boyfriend... it broke my heart but I guess I deserve it from all the hell I put him through. I twisted his room doorknob but it was locked. Then I called for Kairi. I heard mumbling then someone coming to the door. The door unlocked, but whoever unlocked it ran back to their spot. I came in smiling because I didn't know what else to do. Then, I saw him. He looked more beautiful than ever. How could I have hurt him? "Well Kairi, long time no see..." I said as I looked down sadly. Seeing him again made all of the memories come back, making me feel more guilty than ever. I looked back up at Kairi and he looked shock.
*Fast forward to when Kairi invited Monty to sleepover with the rest of them. You guys already know what happened so why not.*
Kairi POV:
Once Monty sat down he looked at me. Instead of evil I saw a gleam of happiness in his eyes. It made me happy to see him happy. "Monty I just want to know, why'd you come find me after all this time?" I asked him. "Kairi, I never stopped loving you. You just never believed me. I did have voices in my head that told me if I didn't hurt you my dad would hurt me. They came after my dad left. I came to find you because I got rid of them. I fought hard against them because I realized I can't be afraid of my dad anymore. I can't just lose the one person I actually love in this world because of me being afraid of my dad... that's why." He said looking at me sadly. For the first time in my life, Monty actually sounded sincere. What I did next I didn't even have to think about it. I crawled over to him and hugged him. He hugged me back tighter. It was a nice hug. I pulled away from the hug and smiled at him and he smiled back. "So, who wants to finish our game of truth or dare?" Alvaro asked smiling awkwardly.
