Chapter 5.

Patton's PoV:

I could hardly remember last night. It was all a blur of tears. As I awoke I felt a presence by my side. As I turned I saw the small snake beside me and I was tucked in. I don't remember getting in to bed last night though I hardly remember anything. As I look at janus more closely I can see he's shivering. As soon as I notice this I jump up and tuck him in smiling then looking at my clock. 11am! I didn't wake up to make breakfast for my kiddos.
I run out the room and down to the kitchen to only see Virgil there. Yes roman hasn't come down for a while but Logan would usually be down- oh wait later then usual.
"Hey pat..." Virgil mumbled out not even looking my way. I could tell he's just being polite. Virges been made at me since the janus thing...
"Hey there kiddo!" I smile at him hiding what I truly felt "did you already have something to eat? It's near lunch I can make you something!" "Nah I'm good I'll just take something" he gets up and grabs a bag of crisps before flopping on the couch. "Well alright...but if you need anything just ask me!!!" I hear him grunt in response as I fumble around the kitchen making myself something to eat. Once I finished I looked down at my plate. It was a pancake! And wondered whether I should ask roman if he wants something or if I should go check on him but I figured it's time I let him do it in his own time. I'd tried long enough and I don't want to be shut out ago. I can't help but feel like all my kiddos are upset with me....
As I continue to stare at my pancake I hear the creek of the stairs as the snake descends getting and off look and a hiss from Virgil.
"Hey Janus!!! Want anything to eat?"
He looks up at me readjusting his hat. "Sure why not I believed I've heard you are a wonderful cook" he smiles at me although it's genuine. "Alright!!! I can make you pancakes if you want!" Janus nods at me as he sits down at the table of four. It seems strange for it to be empty. I remember when the four of us would all sit around talking. Me telling jokes while Logan sighs and virgil and Roman throw names at each other. I miss it....but now I have a new friend. I turn around at janus and see him looking down at the table occasionally looking at Virgil sighing then catches me staring, "Can I help you patton?"
"Oh no it's fine!!! Sorry for staring" I turn back round and continue to cook flipping the pancake victoriously then putting it on and plate and handing it to Janus. After I sent down my now cold pancakes and some toppings. "Do you want anything to drink?" I look at janus smiling awaiting his response. "Just some water if you don't mind." I jump and get two classes filling one with water the other with orange juice. "Here!" I hand him the glass then sit down again starting to dig in to my pancake. "Thank you. Now Patton I need to talk to you about something...umm last night. What happened?"
"Wh-what do you mean" I almost start to choke on my pancake and I can see Virgil begin to listen in.
"You know exactly what I mean! You were passed out and looked like you were crying!" He raises his voice and looks annoyed though concern lasesed his eyes. "O-oh I was just tired! A-and my eyes watered a lot before I passed out!" I try to sound genuine. At this point Virgil has gotten up from his slouched potion on the couch. I guess it shows he still cares for me. "Don't lie to me patton! I can tell when you are!!! Please just tell me the truth..."
Virgin has walked over to the kitchen by now and looked at me. "What?!?"
"It's nothing kiddo I'm fine!!!" I finish off my pancake and run up the stairs hitting into something. As I look up at what I see Roman looking down at me. He has big bags under his eyes and looks like he's been crying a lot. His hairs and mess and he looks like he hadn't even put half the effort in as usual.

Alright so imma do here hehe!!! Finally I got the write something I'm so sorry the took to long and hopefully the next one won't take months...next chapter I may continue here or go back to Logan and Remus! Really depends how I'm feeling. Anyway as usual please tell if I messed anything up so I can change it and also have a great morning/afternoon/evening bye!!! 🖤💙🤍
