Chapter 4

Training Room
Ruby's POV:

I repeatedly punch the training dummy as sweat drips down my face. I stop as I notice blood drip from my fist. "Damnit...too much..." I grimiest as I wrapped my fist with bandages. I hear footsteps approaching me "hey Ruby," Weiss greeted with a warm smile. I feel my tail begin to wag I grab my tail to stop my tail. Weiss unfortunately noticed "hm seems you're happy to see me," Weiss winked causing me to blush.
I turn my head away to hid my blush.
"Did you need something Weiss?" I asked feeling a small smile grow on my lips as I wrap up my equipment. "No I um...just wondered if you...wanted to go for a walk maybe show me around...?" She asked sheepishly scratching the back of her neck. I feel a wave of excitement come over me "of course I'd be happy to show you the place where I grew up," I cheered walking with her down the hall. "Let me just take a quick shower and I'll be with you," I said walking into the shower.
I wash all the sweat of my body feeling refreshed "I can't believe Weiss has been here for almost a month...I really like her company...but I want more..." I thought feeling my face heat up when I thought of her. I finished my shower drying my short hair combing my hair and my tail putting on some casual clothes. I walk out of the shower room seeing Weiss waiting outside her room. "Ready princess?" I asked feeling weirdly confident.
Weiss blushed but, nodded following behind me. We walk outside the sun was setting painting the sky with orange, red, and yellow. I lead Weiss to the hall of past alphas I open the door for her.
We walk down the long hall as I point out past alphas and their names. "Who is that?" Weiss asked pointing at one of the statues. "Oh...that's my grandfather Niko Rose he made peace with your grandfather I actually meet Nickolas when I was small..." I stare at my grandfather's statue. "What happened to him?" Weiss asked turning her head to me.
"What happened to many of my people....your father...and his damn company..." I spat harshly clenching my fist. I feel Weiss gently grab my hand I turn to face her she had a warm smile on her face. I smile back as we continue to walk I stop when I see mom's statue. A long vine of white roses grew on her statue I pick one starring at it for a moment. I place it next to a bouquet of flowers "I love you mama..." I whispered feeling my ears flatten on my head. Weiss and I leave walking around as I show her different places. Weiss looks so interested and wowed with everything I show her.
As we walk someone I hopped wouldn't be around came. "Hey Ruby~" a girl named Violet greeted flirtatiously. I sigh trying to be nice "hello Violet," I begrudgingly greet wanting her to just leave me and Weiss alone. Violet studies Weiss from top to bottom with disgust in her eyes.
"And who is this...?" She glares at Weiss with hatred in her eyes. I sigh "this is Weiss she's my friend and, I'm showing her around," I say seriously glaring back at her. Violet suddenly grabs my arm "do you wanna hang out~?" She asked winking. I feel Weiss also grab onto my arm "sorry she's busy with me..." Weiss grunted glaring at Violet who glared back at Weiss. Weiss finally had enough pulling me out of Violet's grasp "sorry she's busy," Weiss said pulling me away with a huff. I follow Weiss down the path leading to the woods she still holding my arm not letting go.
"Hmm~someones jealous~" I chuckled at my own thought. I felt a warm grin grow on my face my tail wags happily.
Weiss stops letting go of me "why...why was she so clingy...to you?" Weiss asked with a small frown. I sigh "she's been like that since we were kids...she likes me but I don't like her," I mutter glancing to see her reaction.
She sighs in what sounded like relief she yawns "we should head back," she murmured rubbing her eyes. I nodded following her I felt a strange presence nearby. I stopped when I heard a twig snap close by I felt a chill run through my spine.
I grab Weiss's shoulder she's about to ask me why I stopped but, I put my finger to my lips to shush her. Growling came from the bushes I take a fighting stance unleashing my claws. A beowolf pounces from the bushes snarling as it began to circle us.
I growl transforming into my wolf form I snarl standing in front of Weiss protectively. "I must protect her..." I thought growling at the beowolf. The beowolf pounced managing to get on me clawing into my side. I yelp in pain as I manage to kick the beowolf off me. Blood dripped from my wounds as pounced on the beowolf biting into his neck ripping it's flesh off its neck causing it to begin to evaporate. I turn back into my human form clutching my side as blood seeped through my cloths. "Ruby!" Weiss yelled sprinting over to me "I'll get you help!" Weiss yelled picking me up.
Everything began to go black as more and more blood seeped through my cloths.

I woke up in my bed with bandages wrapped around my abdomen. I looked around the room seeing Weiss sleeping in a chair next to my bed. I rub my eye "Weiss..." I muttered waking her up tears filled her eyes. "Ruby! I'm so glad you're okay!" She yelled pulling me into a tight hug. I winced in pain "ow Weiss my wound!" I reminded her. Weiss let me go with a faint blush "s...sorry I forgot...how do you feel?" She asked with a conserned expression. "I feel fine but...it does hurt a bit," I mumble with a small grin. I couldn't help but, purr which I hopped Weiss didn't notice but she did. "A...are you purring?" She asked struggling to hold back her laughter.
"Um...yeah...my grandmother was a cat faunus so some cat traits passed to me," I mumbled rubbing my neck. She giggles I feel my heart beat quicken "that's so cute!" She complimented she blushed after she said that. "uh...I mean...it's... pleasant..." She stammers. We sit in silence for a moment before Weiss spoke "thank you for saving me...I would've been dead if it wasn't for you...I owe you," she says with a small smile. To my surprise she leans in kissing my cheek her lips were so soft on my cheek. She pulls away looking away with a flustered face "t...thank y...you," was all I could mutter feeling my cheeks burning.
"What the hell is this," came my uncle's voice I freeze slowly turning to look at him. There stood uncle praxis with a angry and disgusted look on his face. "U...uncle praxis...I...we..." I stammer but can't find anything to say. His gaze turns to Weiss hatred burning in his eyes "get out human..." He spat. Weiss glanced at me I nodded signaling for her to leave Weiss left looking back as praxis closed the door.
