Chapter 18

No one's POV:

Ruby was lying in bed board out of her mind. "Ugh... stupid injury...damn you cinder..." Ruby thought bitterly. The door opened causing Ruby to snap out of her thoughts. Ruby's lips formed into a grin "hey Weiss," Ruby greeted as Weiss shut the door. Weiss sat at the foot of Ruby's bed with a warm grin across her lips. "Hey Ruby how are you feeling?" Weiss asked flopping over next to her injured girlfriend. Ruby's grin widened "I feel fine but I feel even better with you here~" Ruby flirted cuddling close to her snowy haired girlfriend.
Weiss scoffed playfully rolling her eyes "you dolt..." Weiss muttered carefully wrapping her arms around Ruby's waist. Both girls laid together in a comfortable silence the only thing both of them heard was Ruby's purring.
The two girls fell asleep together holding each other close.

Ruby woke up first yawning tiredly as she scratched her head. Her eyes wandered over to the sleeping princess beside her. "Weiss~ time to rise and shine~" Ruby sang poking the older girls cheek. Weiss pulled the covers over her chin "hmmmm....to early..." Weiss mumbled sleepily. Ruby sighed with a smiled on her face "cute..." Ruby whispered to herself.
Ruby struggled to get out of bed her abdomen felt sore as she stumbled to the bathroom. She slowly climbed into the shower enjoying the warm water on her skin.
She felt arms wrap around her bare waist she let out a loud yelp. She pinned the person against the wall growling lowly. After a few seconds Ruby relieved she was pinning Weiss who...was...naked...oh my gods. Ruby quickly let go of Weiss "I'M SO SORRY WEISS I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS YOU I-" Ruby tried to apologize but Weiss cut her off. "It's ok Ruby I shouldn't have snuck up on you," Weiss muttered awkwardly.
The two girls burst into a fit of giggles until they both remembered they were naked in the shower.
Ruby blushed and looked away awkwardly. The black and red haired girl was surprised when she felt Weiss's hand on her cheek. Ruby starred into Weiss's eyes "I love you ruby~" Weiss cooed with a warm smile.
Ruby blushed heavily "I...I love y...you too!" Ruby said loudly with a flustered expression.
Weiss wrapped her arms around Ruby's neck Ruby grinned wrapping her arms around Weiss's waist. Ruby smirked and flicked her wet tail towards Weiss splashing water onto her face.
Weiss frowned struggling not to smile "you dunce...!" Weiss joked moving her face closer. Ruby smirked "what are ya gonna do about it princess~?" Ruby teased. Weiss chuckled quietly "you'll see~" Weiss finally connected her lips with her girlfriends.

Weiss helped Ruby dry her wet hair. Ruby scratched at her bruised neck Weiss had a single question on her mind. "R...Ruby...can I ask you something..." Weiss asked feeling nervous. Ruby raised her eyebrow "yeah sure anything princess," Ruby chirped with a grin. Weiss hesitated for a moment "how...how did you get all your scars....?" Weiss asked Ruby's faced dropped.
Ruby looked down with a sad expression ".....I got a few burn scars from the fire you father started the day her attacked..." Ruby began sitting on her bed still looking at the ground. Weiss sat next to her "others are from...do you know what a dog fight is...?" Ruby asked finally looking at Weiss with dull eyes. Weiss slowly nodded "I got some from an event like that but instead of dogs...they would make werewolves fight each other...I was in a lot of fights...that's why your father called me crimson..." Ruby explained clenching her fist. "The others are from...being whipped and beaten...and the SDC scar is from... being branded...every time I look at this scar it brings back terrible... memories that I wish I could forget...but I never will...." Ruby muttered tears filling her eyes. Ruby flinched slightly when Weiss wrapped her arms around her sobbing girlfriend. "I'm so sorry Ruby...I know I can't take away the pain he caused you but...I promise I'll always be by your side...I love you..." Weiss whispered hugging Ruby tightly. A small smile formed on Ruby's lips "I love you too Weiss...and...thank you..." Ruby whispered back with happiness
"I've been fighting all my life to survive..." Ruby said still holding Weiss's hand.
"I...I used to be in the white fang...I joined because I was saved by ghira Belladonna Blake's father," Ruby explained Weiss was a bit surprised by the fact Ruby was in the white fang. Weiss gave Ruby's hand a comforting squeeze.
"...I joined...and I participated in the protests...but when siara took control everything went downhill...so I left and came back to my family...I'm just glad I have you, yang, Blake and the rest of my family...you're all my family," Ruby whispered leaning in closer. Ruby leaned in connecting her lips with her girlfriend. Weiss was shocked for a moment but, gladly kissed back placing her hands on Ruby's shoulders.

Ruby trained with praxis in the training room. Ruby grunted as praxis managed to punch her in the gut trying his best to avoid Ruby's wound. Ruby jumped out of the way using the wall to propel herself back at praxis. Dodging his attempt at a right hook kicking him in the stomach knocking him down. He panted "wow kiddo... you've really walked off that injury...I'm surprised proud but still surprised..." He smirked as Ruby helped him up.
"Thanks prax..." Ruby said trying out a new nickname she came up with. He chuckled "prax...heh very funny kiddo," he said ruffling the young wolves hair. "Ahh! Praxis stop you're messing up my hair!" Ruby complained trying to smack his hand away.
Praxis threw Ruby a water bottle which Ruby appreciated. Ruby took a swig of the cool liquid "I got a date with Weiss so I'll see ya later!" Ruby waved as she ran to take a shower. Ruby quickly took a shower styling her hair and getting dressed.

Ruby waited Infront of a small café for Weiss. Ruby heard footsteps approaching she looked up seeing Weiss walking towards her. Ruby's jaw dropped "woah..." Ruby thought as Weiss approached her.
"Hey Ruby!" Weiss greeted with a warm grin.

"Heh we're matching what a coincidence!" Weiss sang smiling widely. Ruby was paralyzed just starring at her with a flustered expression. Weiss waved her hand Infront of Ruby's face to snap her out of it "uh...Ruby you alright?" Weiss asked with a amused smirk. Ruby snapped out of her daze "o...oh! Y...yeah I'm f...fine!" Ruby squeaked scratching the back of her head. "W... what do you think?" Weiss asked with a awkward chuckle. "You look amazing," Ruby complimented kissing Weiss's cheek. Weiss smiled "thanks you don't look to bad yourself~" Weiss winked causing Ruby to blush harder.

The two girls had a amazing date talking about random stuff and how adorable yang and Blake were together. Ruby rested her head on her hand with a dazed smile. She wasn't listening at all she was just starring at Weiss.
"You're beautiful..." Ruby said in a daze not realizing she said it out loud. Weiss blushed "w...what...!" Weiss asked with a flustered expression. Ruby realized what she said she buried her face in her hands. Weiss reached over and took Ruby's hand "I think you're beautiful too~" Weiss winked with a warm grin.
Ruby smiled "t...thanks..." Ruby squeaked.
"I love you Ruby Rose," Weiss said sweetly.

"I love you too Weiss Schnee,"
