The War

Chapter 9

A/N: Sorry if the story isn't a short fanfic like the title says.... Anyways. Does anyone else ship Claudia and Steve? I know he cares for her like she's his sister but still. Comment if you agree or ship any other characters from Warehouse 13. Enjoy the story.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////   Artie sat in his office thinking about scones. He hadn't eaten since breakfast for yesterday. Trailor had just lied down near Artie's chair. Artie reached down to pet Trailor. Now all he could think about was why his agents were acting weird. Meanwhile, at the B&B.

Pete sat on his bed looking at a comic book when Steve came in." Hey. What are you readin?" Steve asked casually." Well just a comic Myka bought me. Why?" Pete answered. Jinksy shrugged and walked out of Pete's room a few minutes after." Hey um Myka?"asked Claudia. Myka looked over to the younger warehouse agent." Hmmmmm oh yes Claud?" Myka said sounding distant. Claudia just watched her friend get lost in her trail of thoughts." Oh nevermind. You look like you are thinking about something so I'll just leave you to it." Cluadia shouted down the hall.

They still had no pings. It's a warehouse record! 72 hours without any pings. Thought Claudia. The day progressed slowly. Each agent decided to hang around and be lazy today. Even Artie was relaxing for once. Pete and Myka laid happily in each others arms at the park. They had decided that that's where they would hang out for the day. Steve and Claudia were playing chase around the B&B. And Artie was playing the piano. Abigail was listening to him play while she had offered him cookies.

Pete and Myka were talking about them." So what if Artie finds out and is disgusted by us?" Pete said worridly. "I'm pretty sure he won't be pissed if we just shrug it off." Myka said while grinning. Pete laughed at her. So.e kids were kicking a ball and they ball had flown in the air and knocked Myka in the back of her head pretty hard. Pete watched as his girlfriend yelped in pain. His protective instincts came on and he immediately was gently rocking his girlfriend back to her normally calm state. The kids who had kicked the ball were laughing because they had hit their target. Pete turned and hollers to the kids." You all think that was funny?" Pete asked very angrily." Oh look at that old bastard and his ugly ass bitch of a girl. What do you think he'll do boys. I mean he wouldn't hurt a fly cuz he ain't got tha balls to do it." One boy siad to his pals real loud. Pete laid his hazy Myka down on the blanket he brought and got up to defend them. He got up and walked towards the bratty kids and pulled out his Tesla."  Now all y'all best apologize or I will shoot you with this. And why don't you learn manners cuz you have best start watching who you talk to like that." Pete said bluntly. He grabbed out his secret service badge and showed it to the kids." I mean what I said." He siad with no expression on his face. The kids took  off running in the opposite direction and Pete smirked. He ran off back to Myka and sat down." Mykes! You OK?" He siad worriedly. She nodded and gave a barely there smile. He held her tight in his arms. After a few minutes Myka sat up slowly and clenched the back of her head. Tears filled her eyes as she felt the new swollen lump on her head. It had hurt really bad." Ouch!" She cried repeatedly to herself. Pete loomed to her with soft eyes. Silently he asked if she was alright. He received a nod. They decided the park wasn't a place to spend the rest of their day. Pete helped Myka standup from her position and hugged her real tight." I love you so much Myka." He whispered in her ear. She smiled." I love you too."

Steve was now napping on the couch

With Claud curled up next to him. They were originally in an upright position watching TV.

Flashback

Steve and Claudia were worn out by chasing each other. They sat next to each other right after a snack and began some TV. They couldn't decide on what to watch so they took turns. Eventually the were watching Storage Wars and had both fell asleep.
