"How did you actually made it out? Aren't the gates at your mansion high?"

With a wide, soft smile, Bam answered. "I have my ways."

He continued smiling and I swore I saw his pale skin radiating with a little more glow than when I first arrived in front of the Han residences.

"What are these ways?" I slightly cocked my head and raised my eyebrow at him. I think even I myself can't snuck out if I'm in his place.

"Aren't you going to pick a book to read?" Resting his chin on his palm, he stared at me waiting for a reply. I'm not interested in books at the moment. I wonder when did he got this evasive.

I repeated my question, still in a calm tone. "What are these ways?"

"Will you let me pick a book for you instead? I got a ton in my mind and you might like them!" He stood up, clasping his hands, still not wiping the grin on his face. He's showing an excited expression. I can't help but sigh and drop my question.

"Yes, please." I mumbled, trying to sound more quiet.

Few minutes later, Bam returned with a stack of books. He gently placed it on the table with a soft thud then, he started to wipe some dust off of his hands. I watched him as my brows crinkled at the process.

"I cannot read them all." I gave him a hard stare, almost turning into a glare. He garbbed a book on the topmost layer and placed it in front of me.

"I know you can't, but in case you might get interested, they're just here."

I nodded silently, pulling out my small notebook. I started to crash out some things that I think I will not get today.

A secret tunnel to Jahad's home. Crashed.

An access to Bam's bedroom. Crashed.

Her head is stuck on that notebook again. What could possibly be so important than me that she needs it written down?

These were Bam's thoughts as he watched his only friend scribbling down on a notebook. He had always seen that notebook on her, ever since the day he met (y/n). At first, he thought that she forgot to write her assignment on that thing.

But, clearly, that notebook was different.

And once again, Bam didn't realize he was staring.

(y/n) looked up and poked the other end of the pen on Bam's forehead "Earth to Bam? Why are you staring?"

Lightly startled, he lied. "No reason. Just zoned out. I guess. . ."

He could hear (y/n) making an unamused noise which made him flinched. Making her upset is one of things Bam didn't like.

He watches her with a worried look as (y/n) continued.

"Somehow you always ended up zoning out when you look at me. It's a tad bit unsettling. Is there something wrong with my face that I never knew about?"

Bam immediately noted to himself. Don't let (y/n) caught you staring again.

Sometimes, he just can't avoid to gawk at her. It's something he's used to.

He shook his head rapidly, looking away to hide embarrassment.

"No. . .No, your face is fine. I mean, you're more than fine."

(y/n) responded with a confused look. Bam had to lie again, but there's still half truth in it.

"You see, amnesia struck me once. If it'll happen again then I'm pretty confident I won't forget you."

Her voice trailed. "You're odd. . ." Yet she smiled at the end which made Bam mentally sighed in relief. ". . .but thanks."

Bam let out a short laugh. He couldn't help it; he really found (y/n) the only person that can make him this happy.

The pair sat sat quietly at the moment. Bam shot a sideways glance at her, seeing (y/n) crossing out things on the page she was working on. He leaned over to peek at her shoulders when (y/n) looked up, flinching away. He quickly muttered a 'sorry'. After all, he was just curious.

He watched her shutting the notebook, placing her hands firmly on the corner. He must have annoyed her again.

"Bam. You're forbidden to peek  when I write something on this notebook. Understand?"

Bam apologized for the 2nd time as he lowered his head.

"I'm sorry. I  just wanted to see what you were working on."

"You don't really need to. It's really a waste of time, Bam." (y/n) shoved her notebook inside her small bag then rested her head on the table.

Bam raised an eyebrow, slightly moving the books aside. He copied (y/n)'s movements and resting his head on the table as well. "It's not. Everything about you is worth my time, (y/n)."

Bam was confused on her reaction. She quickly jolted her head up, with an unamused look like the one she held earlier. He only spoke from his heart's content. Is there something wrong with it?

"Don't say things like that. You act as if were married or something."

Even her words made him more and more confused. Does he need to marry her in order to say such words? If that's the case then. . .

"18 is the legal age where I can marry you right? Then saying those words won't be a problem soon. Ah, by the way, I don't take 'no' as an answer."

He was too odd for a 12 year old boy.
