The smell of cakes and wine filled the ballroom. It was the annual party for the gods and goddesses and everyone had gathered at asgard to be a part of it.
you felt like an outcast. Your mother, the most beautiful and wise goddess had married a human man. Three years later, they had you. You did not have any powers. You felt useless being here but Thor had sent you an invitation and you didn't want to let him down.
"What a lovely day, huh?" Thor asked as he popped out of nowhere, causing you to jump.
"Yeah, it's pretty." You say as you shiver slightly.
"Cold?" He asks.
"Only a little." You reply, trying not to make a big deal out of nothing.
"Here, take this." Thor says as he removes his cape and drapes it across your shoulders. It was only an act of kindness but it soon gets the attention of his brother Loki who had been watching from afar for a while now.
He walks up to the both of you with a glass of red wine and nods his head as to say, Hello.
"Brother." Thor begins with a smile.
"So kind of you to join."
"May I speak with Y/N alone?" Loki says, more of a command than a question.
"Why of course. Ill be at the snack bar if you shall ever need anything. Alright, brother?" The nickname obviously making Loki cringe.
You and Loki had been friends for about three years now and have gotten to know each other closely. The past month or two, the two of you had started flirting and have had much tension grow between each other.
"Look at you." He starts, sipping his wine.
"Thinking you can just accept anyone's cape as a devise of warmth."
"He was just being nice." you state.
"You could have come to me." he whispered
"You. Wish." You said, a rush of confidence burst through you.
"Watch your choice of words, Darling. You may not know what I have the ability to do." Loki says sternly.
"I don't think I will." You tease him.
Then, Loki lifts your chin, and with a dark, deep voice, he whispers,
"Does it make you wet to know that the same fingers gliding across your skin could snap your neck without a second thought?"
He finishes it off with a seductive wink and a swish of his wine and casually walks away like nothing ever happened.
