I got home an hour late,  mom was so pissed at me she talked and talked making me feel bad

I went into my room dropped my bag and had a refreshing shower then hurried to meet mom who was already waiting impatiently for me

We trekked to the restaurant and arrived late

" Mrs brooks why are you late today?? "

" I'm sorry Mr Smith something came up "

" For the past two weeks you've been coming late to work and always giving flimsy excuses I'm not buying any of that today I'll cut your 20% out of your pay "

"What!!!  20% how much is my pay that you'll deduct 20% "

"Its either you go in there and begin to work or you make use of the exit your choice "

Mom sighed heavily she had no choice

" Lest I forget you'll be working in the kitchen today and the young miss will wait the tables "

Mom quickly cut him short

" No sir I'll wait the tables let my daughter work in the kitchen "

" I'm the manager here and I decide what you do now get to work "

Mom scurried into the kitchen while I picked an apron hanging at the door and began to serve

Around 9pm my feets were already sore as I dragged my tired limbs to pack left over dishes when someone walked in

" A plate of cookies miss"

" I'm sorry sir but we're closed for the day "

He still repeated himself like he didn't hear me

I spurned around only to meet Alexander

My eyes widened in shock as I stared at him dumbfounded

" eh..... Wh.... at are you doing here?? "

He chuckled lightly

"My father owns this place Lilian "

"Wh... at" I stuttered

He broke into a smile

" Cmon Lilian don't be alarmed I had no idea you worked here either "

He took my hands and led me to a seat

" you must be tired I guess"

I nodded

he gently stroked my hands while staring into my eyes

I lowered my eyes shyly

Leaning forward he cupped my face and brought his lips closer to mine I closed my eyes

"You're so pretty " I could feel his hot breath on my face

His lips touched mine and I responded eagerly

Mom bust in on is

" Lilian its time to go home "

Immediately Xander and I sprang apart

My face flushed with embarrassment mom stared at Xander disapprovingly

" who is this Lilian?? "

" mom meet Alexander my classmate, his father also owns this place "

He smiled

" I'll see you tomorrow at school Lilian "

As we headed home mom was unusually quite throughout the walk home

"Mom?? "

" when did you start kissing guys Lilian

I thought I had a responsible daughter but I was wrong "

"Mom we weren't doing anything wrong"

" ohh really, then how'd you explain him kissing you "

I became speechless as tears dripped from my eyes

It hurts me to hear mom say those words

Was I wrong??? 

On a second thought I'm not wrong it was just a kiss and nothing else

Mom is just over reacting
