Mia waited outside of her class after the first three classes of the day. People kept walking out of their classes and filling the hallway, Mia decided to wait for the girl that volunteered to show her round.

"Hey beautiful" said a deep voice from behind her, Mia turned round to meet a highly chiseled chin, a pair of green eyes, and a body that belonged to a body building freak.

Mia decided to ignore the unfriendly aura around her and moved towards the other side of the door. "Do you need a muscle?" the young man said flexing his arms showing off his vienly muscles.

"Do you need an exit, oh wait there it is goodbye" Mia replied rudely. "Hard to get, I see" he said getting closer. Mia stood her ground she wasn't threatened by his presence. The guy leaned against the door post leaning in close on Mia, who didn't seem bothered at all.

"Go find another dog to lie with Logan, this one is taken" said a voice from the doorway, neither Mia nor Logan had noticed Miss Fields standing there with a smug look on her face.

Logan rolled his eyes the faced the pretty young lady, then faced Mia. "I'll be back hon", with that he winked and left. "Can't wait" said Mia with her voice heavy with sacarsm.

"Sorry about the dog insult and Logan, I'm Lilian J. Fields, you're tour guide and hopefully potential friend, if you follow me I'll lead you to the cafeteria". "Alright Lillian lead the way". "Please call me Lilly, shall we?".

"Woah" Lilly sighed at the sight of the long line in the cafeteria for lunch.

"Good thing I brought lunch" Lilly added dragging Mia by the arm onto the hallway, they shared Lilly's PB & J as they walked. Lilly took Mia round the school, making jokes and sharing the latest gossip as well, Mia was glad she made a friend and hopefully a sister at heart.

"So how did you get your hair this way?" asked Lilly touching Mia's roots.
"I was born this way, got her strong genes"..... And unfortunately her heart but the last part was in her head.
"Cool" said Lilly, "I was also born this way too" she added referring to her platinum blonde hair. Mia admired Lilly's boldness along side her slim finely toned legs.
The bell rang indicating recess over, Mia couldn't belive forty minutes had blown by so quickly.

"Well I've gotta go Mr. James is gonna be furious if I came late to his class" said Lilly.

"But I haven't chosen a major yet" Mia told her new friend in a needy voice.
"That's true............" Lilly stared at Mia, the hallway was clearing up as students went to their various classes.
"I've got it!" exclaimed Lilly with her face full of excitement, she dragged Mia against her will that is, down to the principals office.

"Excuse me Miss Lars" said Lilly opening the door to the PA's office which guarded the principal's own office.

"Yes" a lady replied from her desk in a white sequin top and long black hair. She was signing a lot of papers and didn't bother to look up.

"You see my friend here, Mia Raias wants to know all our majors here because she's new".
"Check the bulletin board and choose what you want" she replied still not looking up from her work. Mia walked towards the bulletin board hoping to see something of interest to her.
"Art, I mean I would like to do arts" Mia responded. "What type?" asked Miss Lars still not raising her head.

"Photography" said Mia proudly, Lilly hugged her "You know you do look like a photographer and you do have the structure of an artist" said Lilly sizing her up

The girls left the office and Lilly took her to her class before running off. Mia walked into a huge arts room with few students and a handsome well dressed male teacher. She must have interrupted the class because everyone's concentration seemed to be on her.

"Ummm sorry for interrupting but I'm new, my name is Mia Raias and I picked photography and eh......" the teacher smiled at Mia, which made her comfortable enough to walk in further. "I'm Ridge Bell but call me Ridge, I'm your arts tutor and welcome to the best place to grow your imagination, please feel free in my class, settle in and make friends" said Ridge motioning her to sit down.

"Alright back to our topic for the day Inspiration, a burning desire that gives you the power to create, now what inspires you Kayla", Ridge said pointing to an African American girl with bouncy curly hair.

"Flowers" she answered pushing some strands of hair out of her face. "That's good, what about you Dylan?". A boy in glasses with short hair answered "Books I guess".
Ridge looked around before his eyes fell on Mia. "What of you Mia, what inspires you?". Mia thought for a moment, life, life inspires me.
"Why?" Ridge asked focusing all his attention on her. "Well maybe because it beautiful yet very delicate and can slim from any one and at any time, so it inspires me to live before it's gone forever". "Well-done Mia" said Ridge congratulating her. A guy scoffed from the last row the seats.

"Is there a problem Chase?" Rigde asked

"Yeah life isn't some fairytale that has to come through, it isn't some Disney movie that the girl gets the prince and lives off in a palace, life is bitter, cruel and evil and besides let's face it what's the point when it's all going to end in death". Mia looked back at the boy you spoke he had a big beanie on that seemed to cover his head and a scowled face that seemed to be offended by Mia's comments on life. Ridge sighed at Chase's comment he seemed that he was already used to it. "Chase see me after class, you as well Mia now back to our lesson.............. "
