Harry POV

My eyes threatened to close as I fought back to stay awake in class. I just wanted to punch Mr Deley and sleep. Beside me was Y/n, who was diligently taking notes in class. I don't bother because one, i don't care about my grades but I try in exams and projects only because of Y/n and two, I could copy from Y/n anyway.

"Everyone! Listen up, you will be working in pairs for a project which is due next two weeks," announced Mr Deley. Y/n and I looked at each other with wide smiles, intending to work together. "Now, now, I have already chosen your partners," he continued.

I grumbled, crossing my fingers in hopes to get paired with Y/n and NOT Audrey.

"Evie and Doug, Y/n and Lonnie,-" I groaned, knowing that Audrey and I were the only ones left. Well, I guess I jinxed myself. "And lastly, Harry and Audrey,"

"Its ok babe, come to me if she gives you any trouble," Y/n whispered to my ear, winking, before leaving to go to Lonnie. Looking behind me, I saw Audrey sauntering towards me, a smug look on her face. God knows how much I hate her. I rolled my eyes and awaited the worst.

"Hey Harry, wanna come over to my room to do the 'project'?" she whispered seductively while placing her hand on my shoulder. Scrunching my nose in disgust, I pushed her hand away. She placed her hand over her chest and had a fake hurt look on her face.

"Fine but don't try anything and once we're done, don't come near me," I replied just as the bell rang and I head off to my next class.

"So I was thinking we do-" I realised she was staring at me rather than focusing at the project. I sighed, knowing the possiblity of having to do this alone was high. I snapped my fingers in front of her face and asked her to focus. She smiled at me.

"Harry, do you want a drink?" she politely asked. She seemed suspicious But I was thirsty so I thought nothing of it. Nodding, I continued with the project. She came back a few moments later with a pink drink. "Here's some pink lemonade,"

I mumbled a thanks and immediately took a sip. Two hours later, we finally finished the project. Sighing in relief, I looked at Audrey waving at me. Suddenly, I had change of heart, she was so pretty, not the ugly girl I saw before. I stared at her in awe as she walked towards me whispering in ny ear,

"Meet me at the enchanted lake at 10pm? Make sures no one sees." I nodded immediately, already fantisising what would happen later.

°•At 9.30pm•°

Where's Harry? It's been so long, he must have finished the project already. Usually, after school, he would come to my room but today he didn't. I decided to go to his and Gil's room to see.

Entering his room, I see him looking through his closet. He never goes out without telling me, so what's he doing?

"Harry? What are you doing?" I asked slowly, not trying to seem clingy. He turned his head to look at me. But his eyes looked different. They weren't glowing blue like they used to be, they looked dull. I ignored it, convincing myself he just neede some sleep.

"Mind your business," he snarled. I was taken aback. Why was he being mean to me? He was never like this before.

"Harry..." he pushed my hand off his chest. My eyes started to get glossy, filling with tears. "Why are you like this? You always talk to me if something's wrong," I continued, demanding to know why he's like this.
"Just go away, nothing's wrong, you're so annoying," he fired back, and this time, a tear rolled down my cheek. Giving up, I left the room, thinking that after giving him some time, he will come back later. But I was wrong.
An hour later, as I was taking my usual late night walk, I saw him, at the water fountain, with guess who? Audrey. That bitch. Clenching my fists, I stomped to them, who were completely oblivious to my presence. Suddenly, someone pulled me into a bush. I pushed and kicked, desperately trying to get out of their grip, to no avail.

"Shhh, calm down, it's Gil," he said. I calmed down a bit but soon widened my eyes as to why was he here.

"Gil?! What the f*ck are you doing here?!" I whisper-shouted at him. He hesitated to answer but soon did when he saw the furious look on my face.

"I was suspicious of him going out at night since you both usually don't go out at night and followed him here. I swear as I was going to tell you tomorrow," he defended himself.

I sighed, nodding, looking over to them, STILL kissing. I pryed my eyes away from them. The sight disgusted me. A million questions ran through my mind. Why her? Was everything we had? Was I not good enough? I didn't even realise I started crying until Gil hugged me, comforting me. I cried into chest for God knows how long.

As I finally composed myself, I wipe the remaining tears off my face. With Gil beside me, I slowly walked towards my room, laying my head on Gil's head. I loved Gil so much, he was like a brother to me, he was always there for me. Although at times he could be an imbecile, he was still the big brother I never had.

Arriving at my dorm room, I hugged Gil with all my might.

"Thank you Gil, I don't know what I would do without you," I smiled weakly at him. He returned it back.

"No problem, if you need someone to talk to, come to me okay? I love you," he replied, while kissing my forehead. I nodded as I hugged him one last time, before retreating to my bed.

Sitting on my bed, I brought my knees to my chest, whispering to myself. A teae rolled down my cheek,

Why? Harry why?
I loved you...so freaking much.
