Elena pov

After Elijah left i hopped into my car and drove back to my house. Alaric and Jermey where on the couch.

"Don't look!" I screeched as i ran up the stairs.

"What's her deal?" I heard Jermey say.

I grabbed clothes and my makeup. I grabbed a toothbrush and a few other personal items. I changed into some more appropriate clothes and put Damon's clothes into my top drawer. Where i always kept sentimental items.

I walked downstairs and sat between Alaric and Jermey. 

"What are we watching?" I asked.

"Saturday morning cartoons" Jeremy replied.

"Hey Elena, Listen i'm sorry about the other day. I've just been so down about Damon." Alaric apologized.

"Listen Ric, it's fine. You weren't yourself and I understand that. Let's just put it behind us. Today is a day of moving forward." i said, shooting him a smile. He returned with another smile.

"Well that's enough seriousness for one day. Let's have FUN!" Jeremey said.

"What kind of fun?" Alaric said.

"Well how about a road trip?" I suggested.

"Where to?" Jeremy asked?

"I don't know.. Maybe New Orleans?" I said biting my lip.

"Elena. It would take days to drive there, and Klaus is there. He would keep you captive for your blood and you'd never see the light of day again! Are you crazy!" Jeremy yelled.

"Jermey what if she's being compelled?" Alaric asked alarmed.

"Impossible. I watched her put vervain in her coffee this morning and she's wearing her necklace." Jermey explained.

I did not approximate how they were talking about me like i wasn't sitting right there.

"Guys I'm not bing compelled. It was just a suggestion. But now i realize the consequences of it." I said rolling my eyes. But the truth was, I didn't just aimlessly suggest it. I knew Elijah was in New Orleans, and I wanted to see him. I couldn't really tell, but when i'm with him, i feel like my life has purpose again.

Alaric's phone rang.

"Hello?" he said. He talked on the phone for a few minuets. When he hung up he turned to Jermey and me.

"That was the principal. There is a big party that they are doing at the school. It's a pre graduation thing for the seniors. They want me to chaperone it. It's tomorrow  night so no road trip for us" he sighed.

"I forgot about that dance," Jermey said. "I'll have to get Bonnie. See if she wants to go."

"Bonnies not a senior anymore" I remarked.

"I'm sure nobody's gonna stop bonnie if she's my date." Jermey said.

"So i'm gonna spend tomorrow night alone." I said.

"Sorry Elena" Alaric said.

"It's fine. I'll probably just watch some tv and eat ice cream."

"Well i've got to go." Alaric said. "They want me to help set up"

"And i've got to go find Bonnie" Jermey said, pulling out his cellphone.  They both left and once again, I was alone.

I called caroline and hung out with her. After the day was over, I drove back to the salvatore and hopped right into bed. That night i dreamt about Elijah, and him taking me away to travel the world.
