I glance at my watch and realize the hour passed. I couldn't help but feel the butterflies in my stomach making me nervous again. I couldn't help but just scrunch up my book tightly in my arms.

Relax Jess

Lyric Pov

I waited outside the gate of her school and I felt nervous as fuck. I mean its been years since I ever got back into a relationship and im not sure if I can do this.  I tried closing my eyes to relax but my fingers kept shaking, legs wobbled and my heart was thumping fast.

"Lyric, are you okay?"

I opened my eyes and in front of me was the one girl who made my world turn upside down. The only girl I haven't stop thinking about the past days. The only girl who is actually willing to be with me and that girl is Melody.

"Yeah, I'm fine but I need to say something really important and it can't wait."

"Sure, what is it?"

With those hazelnut eyes staring at me I needed to blurt out stupid words out of my mouth.

"I'm sorry for kissing you this morning, I just thought you really cute and we got along so well and my lips went on its own. I didn't mean to take your first kiss!"

Just stop talking man, you're making everything worse. She must hate you now, way to go Lyric. Just walk away and leave her alone.

"Wait Lyric! Honestly I think your cute too and I forgive you."

Did she just say I forgive you? Back track did she also said I'm cute?

"Did you just call me cute?"

"Uhhh.. no. Where did you get that idea? Ha...ha..ha"

She looked away but I couldn't help but smirk at that blush appering on her cheeks.

"I knew of myself as pretty sexy but I guess I never  thought I was cute."

"Wow, never knew a guy now would call himself cute. I like that about you."

"Because, it was a girls fault for making me think that  And this girl makes me feel the luckiest guy in the world."

"Lyr-"

Before she said my name I grabbed her hand and ran with her to the coffee shop. My heart could stop beating and burst with passion and I needed to scream out loud that I finally could say I moved on with my life. As we finally got to the coffee shop, I could hear her breathing really hard and look like she was about to die.

"Are you okay?"

"Does it look like I'm okay?!?"

"Sorry, sorry it's just that you surprised me and I couldn't help but feel happy."

"Fine your forgiven but you definitely owe me Venti Vanilla Bean Frappuchino with 3 pumps peppermint, java chips and mocha drizzle."

"Okay, princess. Now go find us a spot so we can talk."

"Sure , you dork."

She waved at me to go but I just waited a few minutes to see where she would go then I waited in line to order our drinks. Waiting in this line made me very annoyed. Okay honestly im inpatient and I can't handle long lines. When I got to the front I felt surprised.

"Hey Lyric! What can I get you?"

"Oh, hey Danika. Can you get me my usual?"

"Yeah sure and anything else for you?"

"Add on a Vanilla Bean Frappuchino with 3 pumps peppermint, java chips and mocha drizzel."

"Yup so your total will be $11.78"

I handed her the money and I could feel the nervousness and she handed me the drinks.

"Good luck with Mel, Lyric and don't screw this up this time!"

"I won't! "

I took a look at the drinks and damn Melody's drink is really cute just like her. I couldn't help but take a sip from her drink and it was pretty damn delicious. I searched through the crowed and tried to look fo Mel but she was waving at me to grab my attention. I walked over to he and handed her drink but she pouted.

"You drank my drink, NOT FAIR!"

"But I bought it so ha!"

I so laughed at her pouts but I never took a chance to realized that she smeared whip creme all over my face.

"Thats for drinking my drink!"

"Get over here!"

I grabbed her arm and pulled her so that I was kissing her cheek. She tried to wipe it off but I took more of the whip cream off my face on to hers and she looked adorable even all  covered.

"LYRIC!"

"You're welcome."

I couldn't hold back my laughter in the way she look. It was like a clown without its makeup.

"Can I at least have a napkin?"

"Ok, dork."

I ruffled her hair and walked to get us some napkins. By the time I got to her she was busy talking on the phone but she looked very irritated as I handed her the napkins.

"You okay Mel?"

"No, my idiot brother didn't do the grocery shopping so now I have to do it."

"That sucks but you missed a spot, let me get that."

I leaned over the table and took her face into my hands. I couldn't stop looking in her eyes but I needed to resist the temptation. She was looking at me to but I leaned in closer that our lips were a centimeter away.  Together our eyes closed and I leaned in. The passion of sparks between our lips felt wonderful together until she pushed away.

"Mel I-"

Her face was flushed and she blocked it with her hands.

"I-I have to go!"

"Wait!"

Before I could stop her, she was out the door but all I could say is that

....this was the best first kiss ever...
