Finn was sat in front of his mirror raking gel through his hair, it was finally happening, the date he dreamt about. Even thought they were just friends, he was convinced they talked like lovers, just two teenagers scared to love. what was his brain doing? he didn't love Piper, she for sure didn't love him, right?

"you totally love him!"
Lily came blasting down the phone, the two girls were facetiming whilst Piper was getting ready.
"on a serious note Lils, when did you know Kingston was the one for you?"
"pipes, no! you like Finn? its about time!"
"no, i dont think. just when did you know?"
"honestly, everyone is different, but you find yourself wanting to be around them, constantly, and when their not there you cant help thinking of them, picturing they were there. And when the world is against you and it feels like all your walls start to crumble and you feel alone, they are there, with you to help you pick up the pieces. Sometimes you picture your future and they are there, and you are building the life you so desire. The smallest things they do, can brighten up your day and can put a smile on your face. When your in love with them, you will know. Whether you admit to him in the moment or its 2:09am and your wide awake and admit then, it will honestly be the greatest feeling ever and it will turn your world upside down. To hear him say it back, nothing else can compare! Now Pipes, im no cupid, but solemates always find their way back to each other, trust me if you are meant to be, it will be."
Piper was really shocked by what Lily had said, but it all made sense. In the most crazy-perfect way possible.
"Wow. Thanks Lils, ill think about it. Ill tell you how it goes tonight, ok?"
"Thats fine Pipes, i have a feeling something great will happen tonight, love you!"
"Love you to Lils!"
Piper ended the call, closed her laptop and slumped back into her chair, she had a lot to think about. She picked up a lipstick and applied it onto her lips, she looked at the shade name: "first date'. She was 100% percent sure this wasnt a date, thats what she told herself anyway.

He was making his final preparations, whatever happened tonight, it had to be perfect. He applied the after shave, that his grandma once bought him, he missed her, alot. He thought back to the time his grandma retold the tale of when she and her husband first met, on the soldiers ward, and smiled fondly at the memory, the love they shared was undeniable.

Finn arrived Pipers house to be greeted by his best friend wearing the most flattering dress in the most beautiful crimson shade. She was breath taking. Her dark locks flowed neatly down her back, he liked when she wore he hair down.
"Shall we?" He says in his posh accent, holding his arm out for her to link.
"indeed we shall" She laughs as she grabs his arm. The pair get into Finn's car, and begin to discuss where they were going, as Piper still had no idea what the blonde was up to.
"where are we going?"
"now my friend, you will have to wait and see." he tells the girl. He opens his mouth to speak again, until he is interrupted by the song that came on the radio.  18, by one direction.

"i have loved you since we were 18, long before we both knew the same thing, to be loved, to be in love, all I can do is say that these arms were made for holding you, i wanna love like you made me feel, when we were 18"

Piper wasn't taking much notice of the lyrics, however Finn felt every word, except they were 17. Finn focused his attention onto the road and the car remained silent. The number of cars began do decrease as they ascended into the mountains. Finn could only hope that Henry had put the final touches on the date.

Piper thought long and hard, why had Finn put so much effort into this? However it was their one year friendiversary so it had to be special, thats what Piper decided to believe.

They pulled up. They were met with a golf cart, an amazing view and each other.
