The cage you had all been put in was dangling over a pit down in the catacombs. Some type of giant, tentacled beast was in it waiting for you all to fall in.

Bloodgood held onto the bars of the cage as she glared at Hellscream, "You'll never get away with this. They'll come looking for us-"

"The students?" He interrupted, "I think not. They're likely to be at each other's throats. For some reason the werewolves think that the vampires have taken Howleen, their most earnest member." Frankie gasped. "And the vampires think the werewolves have taken poor, sweet Draculaura. And of course," He was looking at you now, "The little ghoul who has both of their leaders wrapped around her finger has also gone missing. Tension will surely be high." You shrunk back from his gaze and felt yourself gulp.

"But," Frankie had a confused look on her face, "what reason could you possibly-"

"Turmoil, my dear." He got closer to the cage, "Chaos. I have spent my entire life making sure that monsters didn't get along with each other." He placed a finger against one of the bars of the cage and pushed against it. The cage swung lightly. "Stoking the fires of distrust between vampires and werewolves. Between fresh water monsters and sea water monsters." Draculaura stepped closer to the middle of the cage as a tentacle came out of the pit and brought itself between the bars. "Minotaurs and centaurs." You grabbed hold of her shoulders and brought her farther back as the tentacle came up closer to her face.

Now Howleen spoke, "Huh? Why would you do that?"

"Because he's afraid." Bloodgood spoke from behind you all, "He thinks as long as monsters are fighting each other, they wouldn't be any threat to the humans."

"That's right. But Monster High was working. Monsters were embracing their uniqueness and... uniting! When I heard the superintendents were thinking of making every school like Monster High, and then, one day even allowing monsters to go to school with normies, I knew I had to stop it!"

A smile came onto his face, "Of course, that will never happen now. When the scholastic superintendents come tonight and see how vampires and werewolves are fighting, how out of control this place is, they will shut down Monster High forever!"

A look of despair came over everyone's face.

Taking a trinket out of his jacket, Van Hellscream threw it into the air before leaving. The thing blew up in green smoke before a purple spiral formed and turned into a gargoyle. It was holding a saw.

"And you can't do anything to stop me." With that, he was gone.

The gargoyle flew up to the top of the cage, and started sawing away at the chain holding it up.

In one of the school's many hallways, the vampires marched in their group. At the end, the double doors flew open and the werewolves emerged as well. They continued walking towards each other til there was only a couple of feet between the two species.

"This ends today." Romulus spoke as the werewolves around him growled.

"Agreed. We can't go on like this."

Romulus pointed his finger at Bram, "Today, the gym, sundown. Bring your full strength."

"Winner gets the school." Bram brought his hand out, and Romulus firmly grasped it as they shook, "And the ghoul."

Once they let go, they both looked at their hands in disgust. Bram got a bottle of sanitizer/lotion and quickly poured a large amount onto his hand. Romulus quickly brushed his hand off on his jacket. Then they parted ways with their respective groups.

From a close by door, Van Hellscream and Crabgrass emerged. "The superintendents will just as they are going to war." As he finished speaking, Crabgrass doused herself in some kind of powder. She emerged from the cloud in the image of Bloodgood.

Romulus was stopped as an arm shot out in front of him and crashed loudly into the locker beside him.

"What have you done with her? What have you done with Draculaura, Romulus?" Clawd was furious.

Romulus held his hands out in a calming manner, "Woah, take it easy, dog. I didn't take her."

"That's not what I heard."

"Listen, even if we had taken her could ya blame us? They took Howleen, your sister. You better figure out whose side you're on, Clawd Wolf." He motioned to the werewolf behind him, "Come on." Then he brought his attention back to Clawd, "Be at the gym tonight, if you're a real werewolf. The pack is strength."

He walked away from Clawd, but Clawd didn't answer back anyways.

As the gargoyle continued sawing away at the chain, Howleen held onto the bars of the cage and yelled out, "Help! Get us out of here! Anybody!"

"You're wasting your time. There's nobody down here." Draculaura glanced at her with a dirty look.

Howleen turned towards her, "You've got a bad attitude. Psh, typical vampire."

"How rude, typical wolf."

You and Abby quickly stepped between the two. Abby facing Howleen and you facing Draculaura. "This bickering helps nothing."

"Yeah, you guys," Frankie spoke, "This is just what Van Hellscream wants. Now come on, we've gotta find a way out. If we don't stop this fight before the superintendents get here-"

"They'll shut down Monster High." Bloodgood, who had been staring at nothing outside the cage this entire time, finally turned to face the rest of you, "But Frankie, even if we get out of this dungeon. This area of the catacombs is a deadly maze. Full of tricks and traps," She sighed, "We'll never make it."

"Too much talk, time for action." Abby's gaze led all of you to look up at the gargoyle, he was almost done. "I have idea."

Quickly, she shot out a blast of ice and froze the gargoyle in its place. The weight of it broke through the flimsy bars on the top of the cage and fell in with the rest of you. Then Abby turned and did the same to the bars on the side. She smiled, "These bars are old and brittle, like bones of Great Uncle Frostivich!" She blew out more icy air. Once the bars were frozen, she was quickly able to punch them out of place. She gestured to the open space she had made, "What are you waiting for? Invitation, written in snow?"

You all smiled at her and, one by one, jumped out of the cage. Just as you all made it out, the tentacled beast shook the cage slightly, this caused what was left of the chain to break and bring it crashing down into the pit.
