Chapter 1: His Awakening

The man in armor stood still in front of the chimera, which was growling at him. The man simply stares at the chimera and studies it as it began to circle around him to find an opening.

Meanwhile...

As the chimera was circling the man in armor, someone was watching this from a tree.

In fact, it was a female elf. She studies the man in armor with cautious but curios eyes.

"What did that moron find so interesting in you...?" She mutters.

Meanwhile...

After the chimera fully circled the man, it stops back where it first was, it's lion head growls and it's snake tail hisses.

"..." The man doesn't say anything. He simply studies the chimera under his helmet. He lifts his right hand a bit and opens his palm. It glows brightly, enough to even blind the chimera for a few moments.

The chimera roars in pain. It forcefully opens its eyes and saw a scythe made of black scales and spikes in the man's hand.

The man grabs the handle of it with both hands and held it in front of his face. He grips it tightly as the chimera straightens before roaring into the air with all it had, scaring several birds nearby away. The man lowers his weapon to his waist level and ran towards the chimera. The chimera took this as a challenge and runs forward as well. Both the man and the chimera leap into the air as the man reels his weapon back and the beast raises its claws to tackle the man.

Now...

As the two came closer to each other, time seemed to have slowed down. The chimera was too focused on killing the man and didn't notice he was slowly flying higher than it. He lifts his scythe above his head as he flew above the lion's head, going for the goat's. When the two were mere inches away, the man slams his scythe down as hard as he could, stabbing the goat's right eye. The goat screeches as loud as possible as blood spews out of the wound.
