|Once in a Lifetime|

Liam's P.O.V.
"What's the problem?" Louis said giving me a serious look. I nodded watching as his face lost color, he closed his eyes slamming his fist on the desk. "Dammit, I thought it was okay, Liam you told me it was going to be fine!"

"I know it was the issue was amazing it's just that we can't compete with The W magazine, Louis it over ranked our sales. Im sorry your going to have to call a meeting, get the papers out alright." Louis nodded sitting in his chair knocking over a few pictures on his desk.

I walked out going to get Harry and everyone else, Harry got up and gave me a weird look but I saved everything for later. Zayn grabbed everyone from downstairs including Sophia, she already knew what was going to happen I saw it in her face.

Seconds later Louis called over the intercom.
"Good Afternoon everyone I have an important announcement to make in the main meeting room please, thank you." I stepped in seeing Louis in the front of the room with face in his hands.I knew he would be this way, it was hard for him.

Riley sat next to me and Harry sat next to Louis, us being the majors of the company we had to sit and watch everyone's reaction.

"Now I know all of you are wondering why you are here today, and I am now going to explain the matter....uhmm...As you now our competitor The W magazine has been in competition with us ever since we hit the charts back when my grandad owned the place...but now I'm here to tell you that they have won, and we are no longer a magazine selling company...our sales are so low that we have to shut down the place and I wanted all of us to hand out your backup plans today...so Harry will you read off your accountant and editing staff please."Riley looked at the plans in front of her and looked at Louis' plan.

Everyone was going to another company, I knew how hard it was for her even though Louis has been a dick to get she still cared about him. Just the feeling of having him around kept her sane.

I went through the papers in front of Riley looking for Sophia's, my stomach twisted at what I saw.

Riley's P.O.V
It was my turn to read off my papers, picking them up slowly I flicked through them, smiling at one of the papers. I knew it would be true.

"All of my models will be going to TopShop, Zayn Malik uhm...you'll be transferring to..Roy Litiechen's studio in France. Ryan you'll be transferring to Vogue in New York City. Niall you will also transfer to Vogue in New York. Tara and Sophia you will transfer to Burberry in London." I finished laying my papers down watching everyone seem content with they're transfers except for Zayn and Ryan.

I wanted to do something but I couldn't if I change Riley's backup to France then she wouldn't be happy with the non-photography, but I can't change Zayn's because that's all he ever talks about.

Louis' P.O.V
I wished everyone good luck with their new jobs and wished them on their way, all the rest of us walked into my office where I gave the final transfers.

"Harry and Riley you'll go to Vogue in New York, Liam your in Los Angeles with me."
I started cleaning my desk off while they walked out of the room. Riley stayed and stared at me intently.

"Look I'm sorry that I lashed out on you last night baby, I didn't mean it I was drunk and"
She cut me off hugging me tightly. I hugged her back feeling wetness come through my dress shirt. I knew she was upset but there were so many things I could do to keep in touch with her.

"I'm sorry for not being a great girlfriend, you didn't become a dad because of me, now you've lost your job because of me, if I could see into the future you'd lose your life because of me." I laughed holding her tightly, she blabbed all the time.

"Your doing it again." I said looking at her face. I wouldn't see that face for a long time, at least not in person.

"What?." She buried her face in my chest, crying some more. I stroked her dark curls, being a relieving thing that I did when either of us were frustrated.

"Blabbering." she smiled pressing her face more into my chest not wanting to let go, I didn't want to either.

"You know what used to calm me down when we lived in the old house," I shrugged not remembering, "that video of Lottie when she figured out what buttsex was." I gasped reacting just the way Lott did.

"What do you mean by buttsex is that even possible, I'd never!" We said in sync laughing after. It was times like this when I took a step back and realized how lucky I am, to have a special girl like her in my life.

No ones P.O.V
Everyone went up to the roof of the tall building, fooling around for the last time together.

"Did you ever think that we would come up here again?" Harry questioned lying back on the concrete.

"No." everyone said in unison.

"Well I've never been up here so.." Ryan answered making everyone smile and laugh, the last time anyone has been on the roof was back in 1999. Louis was eight years old and Niall, Liam, Rain, Sophia, Harry, and Zayn were six.

"Welcome to the land of misfit toys." Riley said to Ryan smiling, usually whenever Riley says that it means you've been officially accepted.

It must be hard being taken away from the people you've shared half of your life with. Packing up was the hardest thing to do for everyone, but the goodbyes were the worst.

Riley's P.O.V
I waved goodbye to everyone else stopping at Louis, I huffed playfully smacking his face and then his bum. You have to appreciate it, when your boyfriend has a great ass.

"I'm gonna miss you love." he smiled holding me, I wanted to stay but knowing the critical decisions I couldn't.

"I'm gonna miss you too Lou, I love you and take care of Liam." I kissed his cheek, and waved one last time. He waved and slowly turned around.

I caught up with Niall, Harry, and Ryan. We made sure we had everything together and we were ready to get on the plane.

I heard Ryan gasp and start walking looking up I saw Zayn running towards her. Liam and Louis had already gone, it hurt not having Louis sacrifice missing his plane to say goodbye. But he has an important job and I should understand that. I do understand that.

Ryan's P.O.V
Zayn came running to me and smashed his lips against mine, the air in my lungs left and I felt like I was in heaven. My arms wrapped around his neck and I kissed back, it felt like forever till he pulled back and whispered to me.
"I love you."

I blushed pecking his lips again, "I love you too." I hugged him until I heard Louis and Liam scream from above.

"Cmon Zayn!" He kissed me two more times before running back up the escalator. I turned back around cheeks flushed and my hair out of place.

"Well on that note , I think we've all said goodbye and now our plane is boarding so let's go." Harry said grabbing his many bags walking with Riley and Niall behind them.
