Hestia's POV
I walked up to the castle and I was about to ask directions or at least where I could find the others when..
"Hey." An angelic voice rang behind me.
"Oh my god!" It was Elsa
"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you." She said with a little bit of laughter in her voice which made my heart flutter.
"It's okay I'm fine." It's honestly not the best thing after calming the fire in the forest. That is energy draining.
"Hey Hestia you made it." Anna said coming up and hugging me. Yeah I came against my will. Forest animals can be so pursuing.
"Okay well let's go inside and and play some games." Anna said as Honeymaren, Ryder, and Kristoff, joined us just outside of the castle.
"Yeah." I said following everyone inside....
A few hours later Ryder and Kristoff went to bed and it was just Honeymaren, Anna, Elsa, and me awake.
"So this all of a sudden turned into a girls night." Anna laughed. My head is felling a little fuzzy after putting out the fire.
"Okay guys well can you show me a guest room please I'm exhausted."
"Yeah sure I was just going to turn in myself." Elsa said....
This bed is comfortable that's for sure.
I'd fallen asleep for like a minute until Gal(the air spit) slung open the door to the balcony and atomically woke me up.
"Ah!" I yelled in surprise.
"Gal what happened?" I asked as he practically pushed me out to the balcony. I looked and I saw the enchanted forest. Oh no somethings wrong. I grabbed my scarf and ran out of the castle. Gal lifted me up and flew me back home.I got back home and Gal leaded me to the small deer, Dani.
"What happened?" I asked.
"It's Dani, he hit his head." His mother, Lena, said. I felt his pulse his heart was beating.
"He'll be okay." I said as I took my scarf off and laid it on him to keep him warm. I started to sing an old lullaby my mom sang to me when I was a kid.
"I should not have left."
"Don't blame yourself sweetheart, we could not have known." Lena said. As all the animals crowded around us. I just held Dani close to me and cried....
I herd the ground beneath someone's feet as they approached me. I shot up.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you sweetie." My grandma said.
"That's okay. I must have fallen asleep."
"Yeah taking care of the animals again." She laughed.
"Not funny. Young Dani here fell and hit his head. But he's all better now right?" I asked Dani as I took my scarf off of him.
"I'm all good but a headache."
"He says he's all good but a headache." I told my grandma.
"Don't you think your friends will worry about you?" My grandma asked.
"It's fine." I said although it wasn't. If they'd woken up and realized I wasn't there and didn't care, I would be kinda hurt.
"You spend more time with your animals then you do people." She said handing me a cup of tea. As Tucker laid down behind me acting as a back prop.
"They aren't my animals they are free, and they have manners, more then some people, and care about me."
"Well your not gonna find a girlfriend who cares about you the same way sitting with a young deer who just stumbled and hit his head." She said sitting down on a pillow she made.
"Grandma, I don't have enough stamina for a relationship right now. I'm happy. And as long as I do have my little friends here I will always be."
"Okay well as long as your happy that's all that matters." She said.
"They are better then people."
"What about Ryder and Honeymaren?"
"At a point... yeah. The animals know everything about me, and still accept me, if I tell them about all of this, me being able to talk to animals, and control at least some of the fire that comes from Burni, I don't think they'll understand."
"Well don't worry your mind about that. Today you need to rest. And if that involves going deep into the woods with your animal friends then that's what you do. Take it from me if you don't take a mental health day you'll pass out, or maybe worse. Stopping that fire from devouring the forest takes its toll." She said.
"Oh and here's your walking stick your gonna need it."
"Okay grandma. Can you not let anyone know where I am, at least let them know I'm okay."
"You got it." She smiled and walked away.
"Hey, you good?" Tucker asked. As I stood up leaning on my walking stick.
"I will be." I climbed on the back of a rain deer, Libby.
"Let's go to our spot. That way no one can find us." Our spot, an old pond my mother found.
"Okay. But what happens when the queen, and her friends worry about you?" Libby asked.
"They won't worry about me."
"How do you know?" Libby asked as she started walking.
"Because, I'm not important. I couldn't even make it to there stupid party."
"You we're saving the forest, and in a way all of us." She said looking around at all the animals following, and keeping up with us.
"Yeah, if is wasn't for you, I wold probably be dead by now." Tucker said. I met Tucker when he was lost. He was lost and hungry. I took him back to camp, and he was right. He would have died.
"You mean a lot to us. And one day sweetheart you'll met your true love." Young Dani said. And yes sweetheart or sweetie is what the animals call me.
"Well aren't you a romantic." I laughed.
"What's a romantic." He asked.
"When someone loves with all there heart, and believes with all they have in true love."
"Also if you weren't around we probably wouldn't be so close to the humans." Burni said laying on Libby.
"Oh yeah, and how is that?" I asked.
"You showed us that there are some humans out there that have no interest in hurting us." Mamma rabbit said hopping along beside Libby.
"Why thank you." I laughed as we arrived at the pond.
As I got off Libby my vision went black and my head went fuzzy. I could slightly hear Tucker.
"Hestia, are you okay? Hestia!" But he sounded miles away. Next thing I know my body went cold.𒊹︎𒊹︎𒊹︎
