entered san diego high school and looked around for her friends. she spots her friend ayla with the rest of the group. raine takes a deep breath and walks over. she walks over and see something that saddens her even more.
heather and daniel kissing.
everyone looked at the poor girl. everyone's eyes has sympathy for the girl. everyone knew that her and daniel had something, but not daniel. they always flirted, daniel would do small gestures that would light raine's world up. he didn't know that, he didn't know any of it.
"hey rainebow! c'mon let's walk to 4th period." ayla breaks the silence.
(the classes are split into 3. 3 periods for each day.)
"okay" raine says.
"raine, don't mind heather and daniel. they probably just hooked up and now they wanna act like a couple." ayla reassures raine.
"oh." that's all the wretched girl could say.
raine was heartbroken. why would daniel choose her bestfriend over her? they never were the ones to talk or even to be close friends. all these thoughts roamed through her head and she snapped out of her thoughts because of the bell.
raine walks out of the class heading to the locker rooms of the girls. someone calls out her name and raine turns around.
"raine! raine!" heather calls out to her.
"hey heather. how are you?" raine asks
"i'm doing great! me and daniel are finally dating. he gave me his hoodie, it's so comfortable."
raine looks at the hoodie and sees it the one he gave raine last night. she breaks down and headed to locker room without heather.
she runs into one of the stalls and starts balling her eyes out. she cries and cries until someone knocks on the door.
"hey raine, are you okay?" heather asks.
"yeah i'm fine. please leave me alone." raine sniffles.
"no raine, i know you aren't fine. why would run away from me? you are obviously crying. unlock the door right now or i will break this door."
raine unlocks the door and is engulfed by a big hug by heather.
"hey don't cry. i'm here for you. what's wrong?"
"nothing just cramps." raine lies.
"oh okay. do you need medicine?" heather asks.
"no i'm fine."

walk out of the locker room and start listening to the coach. they learning how to play volleyball. raine brook wasn't listening. she was to busy paying attention to daniel seavey playing basketball. the way he laughed and smiled when all of his friends joked around with him. seavey and brook make eye contact, they share a smile and seavey passes a wink to brook. she quickly looks away and turns back to her bestfriend.
"ouu who were you looking at?" heather teases.
"oh no one. so how are you and daniel?." raine can't get him out of her head.
"um we are good. we started dating yesterday. he is already a gentleman. i really really like him."
oh she really really likes him...
why was it so hard for the girl to accept the fact that daniel doesn't want raine and him and heather are perfectly fine together. they are like a puzzle that was fixed because of them. she doesn't deserve daniel. she never did.
raine deserved to be alone.
heather was perfect for daniel.
daniel was perfect for heather.
and that was when raine wished she was heather.
