Elsie's POV
"Baseball!" I screamed mentally as I woke up and checked my phone.
Good morning beautiful can't wait to see you today and good news.. I will be staying at my house tonight! See at the game. -BoBo
I got in the shower and searched my closet for something to wear today and tomorrow. (Pictures are attached) After I got dressed I put my outfit for tomorrow in a backpack along with some pajamas and Bo's gift then I grabbed everything else I needed before I walked up the street to Bo's house.
"I'm home." I said as I walked in the door. "Good. We are just about to eat come have a seat." Bo's dad said. "Will do... let me go set my bag in the room." I said.
When we arrived at the field the teams were warming up. "Would you like to make a donation? All funds raised will be split between all the teams that play this weekend." The lady at the gate said. As I was reaching for my wallet Bo's dad stopped me and said "I got it." "Who are y'all here to see?" the lady asked as he handed her $100. "WVSU, our son plays." Bo's mom said as we walked past her. "Can we sit behind home plate?" I asked. "Sure baby." Bo's mom said.
"Hey look Bo's waving at us." Jay said as we sat down. I smiled and waved back. "Will you all remove you caps and stand for the singing of the national anthem?" A voice boomed over the intercom. "Ohh say can you see....." A girl sang. "Thank you Hannah for volunteering to sing for us." The man in the press box said after the crowd calmed down, "Now to begin the game the starting pitcher is Bo Williams and the batter is Colton Shawzinix. Let the game begin." The teams started onto the field and as soon as Bo's foot touched the pitchers mound his momma started shaking her cow bell as if life depended on it. "Go Bobo!" She screamed jumping up and down as he tilted his hat towards her. "That's momma..." I thought, "and that's why I love her.
It's the last inning of the game the score is 11-5 with WVSU winning. There are two outs and two strikes... "Striiikkkeee three! You're out!" The umpire said. I got up and followed Bo's parents to the spot we are supposed to wait on Bo. As soon as he popped up around the corner I ran to him and Kawala hugged him.
"Dang girl!" He said wrapping his arms around me. "I missed you so much!" I said getting down. He laughed then said "I missed you too. But the team is meeting up at Kimonos at 6pm."Coach got it from 6-9. He told us to invite who we wanted. So do y'all wanna go?" "No, you kids can go." His dad said approaching us. "Yea. You can even take the corvette." His mom said. "Okay. Well I didn't bring anything but my baseball stuff so we can go ahead and leave." Bo said.
When we got back to the house I laid on his bed watching tv while he took a shower. "Hey Elsie!" Yelled Bo from his bathroom, "Can you bring me my towel?" I slowly got off the bed grabbed his towel and walked to his bathroom, I yanked opened the door and threw the towel closed the door and walked away. "Thank you even though it hit me in the face!" I heard him say.
"Do I smell better now?" Bo asked laughing flopping down beside me. "Yes." I mumbled just realizing how tired I was. "Well I'm gonna take a nap and set my alarm for 5:45. That's about three hours from now." He said closing his eyes. I slid under the blanket then slipped into a soft relaxing sleep.
"Hey! Kids get up! It's 6:27!" His dad, Jay, yelled coming in the room. "Crap!" Bo screamed slowly getting out of bed. I rolled to the end of the bed, jumped down and put on my shoes. I walked in the bathroom brushed my teeth and washed my face then went back in the room and waited for Bo.
Bo's POV
When we got to Kimonos it was about 7:10. "Bout time you made it!"
My coach said as Elsie and I walked in. "Whose the girl?" My friend Ben asked. "Uhh... My friend..... Elsie..."I said scratching the back of my neck, "Why?" "Dang dude calm down. I was just asking... She's hot..." He said. "Hey Bo why don't you come sit with us. My coach said two grills down from Ben. I grabbed her hand and headed their way. "Did you enjoy the game Elsie?" Coach asked. "Yea.... You noticed me?" She responded. "Yea." Coach chucked. "Who could miss a beautiful girl in the stands blowing kisses to an amazing pitcher." I said as I pulled out her chair. "Awh Bo you made her blush." Coach said causing her to blush more, "I hope to be seeing more of you... That's the best Bo's pitched since he been with us. I'm guessing it's because you were around. If you don't mind me asking when he was here how much time did yall spend together?" "Well... We spent a lot of time together." She said. "I can tell.... Everyday he looks like something is missing from life but when he seen you in the stands today he instantly became a new person. It would be a lucky guess if I said you must be the girl Brandon was talking about during freshman move in day. Would that be you?" Coach said. "Oh God here goes coach talking off her ear" I thought. "That would be me." She said.
