* In the anime, the characters primarily participate in the single routines ones of the Grand Prix Finals. For the sake of the story, let's just believe that only duets are allowed to participate in the finals :) *

Third Person's POV
The Grand Prix Finals was known for its individual skating routines. It was rare to see a skating duet - that is, up until three days ago. For an unknown reason, the organizers of the finals decided that it was time for change. They announced that only duets were to be allowed to participate in the upcoming finals.
After Yuri's crushing defeat last year (which resulted in him with the silver medal) he decided not to do what he said he would do - retire.
For one reason only - Victor. Victor was Yuri's idol. Ever since he was a child, Yuri looked up to Victor and his skating. That's why when Victor dropped everything and decided to coach Yuri, his world turned upside down.
Yuri promised Victor a gold medal to kiss. Seeing as though Yuri only had gotten a silver, he decided not to retire, until he was able to get that gold for Victor.
Ever since it was announced that the Grand Prix Finals would consist of duets only, Victor and Yuri worked hard on an amazing routine (thought up by Victor).
— Time skip to present —
There stood Victor, holding Yuri in his arms. They just finished their astonishing duet, hence the wild cheering in the background.
Victor held Yuri in a dip, so he was the the one holding Yuri's weight at the moment. Yuri panted as he tried to catch his breath after the exhausting routine, sweat trickling down his face. Victor stared at Yuri and took in the view. Yuri never thought of himself to be attractive let alone handsome, but the part of Yuri Victor was seeing right now, was beyond handsome.
If you were to ask Victor what he saw in the moment, you would get the most corniest reply: "my life."
Yuri wasn't any better. He stood there staring at Victor's sweat covered face and looked in awe. Every last bit of Victor's hair looked delicately placed to Yuri. Yuri thought he was handsome - no, Yuri thought that the man stood in front of him....was perfect.
Victor was always one to do the unexpected. He made a name for himself because of this, but no one - I mean no one, expected him to do this.
Victor moved one of his hands from Yuri's back and slowly brought it up to support the black-haired male's head. He leaned down to the point where their faces were practically touching, and gently closed the distance.
In other words, Victor Nikiforov, world famous skater, had just kissed Yuri Katsuki, the man the travelled on the way to Japan for, on the ice after their duet.
Victor slowly pulled back and used the hand on Yuri's back to gently lift the latter back up. Yuri was shocked.
Silence.
The entire crowd halted their cheers, that is until Yuri's sister screamed "GET IT" and began cheering again. The entire crowd joined in, now cheering loud as ever seeing the two males in their intimate embrace.
Victor turned to the crowd and lifted Yuri's hand up. The two stood there as the crowd continued to cheer. Victor looked over at Yuri and have him a wide smile, but was met with a shy look away.
This was normal for Yuri and Victor knew that, but he couldn't help but feel a little worried. Yuri yanked his hand down from Victor's grip, gently enough that only Victor noticed. Yuri made his way off the ice without any words and Victor followed behind him.
"Yuri?"
No reply. Yuri was giving Victor the silent treatment. Without saying anything, Yuri went straight for the bathroom, leaving a concerned Victor behind.
"What have I done?"
Yuri came back from the bathroom minutes after, with puffy red eyes. It was subtle, but it was enough for Victor to know that Yuri had cried. Victor felt himself tearing up. He truly loved Yuri. He hated to see him cry - he hated knowing that he made him cry.
Victor wanted to talk to Yuri, by the the swarm of reporters bombarding Victor with questions stopped him.
"Will the following pairs head towards the podium; Victor Nikiforov and Yuri Katsuki, Yuri Pliesetsky and Otabek Altin, Christophe Giacometti and Jean-Jacques Leroy."
Without the chance to talk it out with Yuri, Victor and Yuri headed for the podiums. Yuri looked as though he was about to cry - again. This pained Victor.
Yuri and Victor were directed to the tallest podium - the first place one, while Yuri and Otabek stepped onto the medium one and Chris and JJ took the shortest one.
Yuri was awarded the thing he had worked to hard for - a gold medal. The old man placed the very thing around him and Victor's necks. Yuri began to bawl. Before Victor could comfort him, the two pulled their second surprise of the day.
Yuri grabbed Victor's gold medal and smashed his lips against the taller haired male. The latter, who was unsurprisingly caught off guard slowly melted into the kiss and cupped Yuri's face in his hand.
When Yuri released Victor, he whispered only loud enough for Victor to hear:
"That's for taking my first kiss."
Yuri looked at Victor and smiled with the most beautiful smile Victor had ever seen. Victor pulled Yuri into a tight embrace.
The two males stood there in their tight embrace as the crowd, well, went wild - to say the least. Even Yurio had a subtle smile of his face.
When it comes to Yuri and Victor, you never know what the two have up their sleeve.
