Izumi shot up from the couch, eyes wide as she scanned the area frantically. She panted, her heart beating loudly on her ears.
As she saw the familiar surroundings, Izumi sat down, trying to calm herself. She closed her eyes as she was reminded of what she had seen a little while ago. She wished for nothing else but to remove that from her memory.
After a few minutes of trying to calm herself down, she heard the muffled voices of two people outside the door. She tensed as she slowly looked at the door, wishing it won't open.
To her horror, the door slid open. She relaxed as soon as she saw the tall two-toned teacher walk in. But he wasn't alone. Two girls followed from behind, talking amongst themselves. She noticed that they were carrying a stack of papers each.
"Where do we put these, sensei?" One of them asked.
"Just put it on my desk," he replied, looking through his drawer. As the girls placed the papers down, Izumi approached them.
"What are those for?" She asked, peeking through one of the girls' shoulder. Tsuchigomori paused, glancing up towards her.
"Sensei, Aiko-chan and I are going back," the girls left the room, closing the door behind them. Izumi's gaze followed them, curious about the two girls.
"Who are they?" She asked, her gaze returning to the teacher. Tsuchigomori took a book out from his drawer and haded it to her.
"You ask a lot of questions," he complained, watching her read the the book's spine in curiosity. "Those two are my students, and these are their works."
"W-Why did you gave me her book?" Izumi asked, ignoring what the teacher had said. She gulped slightly as she felt dread washing over her.
"Read her future," he instructed, watching her closely. Izumi looked up at him, worry flashing in her purple orbs. She shot him a questioning look, her hand hovering over the book.
She gingerly opened the book, flipping over page after page, reaching the future. As she turned the red page, she read the contents of each page carefully.
Soon, she stopped. Her breathing becoming laboured. Her eyes widening as she read the contents again and again. She looked at the teacher with wide questioning gaze, beads of sweat falling down her forehead.
"W-What?" She asked shakily, fear setting in.
"Do you know how it changed?" He asked, frowning. Izumi placed the book down, her mind swarming with countless of questions, making her feel dizzy.
"I-I don't know," Izumi answered, her voice dropping to a whisper. Her eyes glossed over with tears, undoubtedly ready to spill. "W-We have to do something— a-anything! She can't—"
Before Izumi could finish her sentence, she broke down. She sobbed, collapsing on the floor.
"S-She... can't..." Izumi mumbled.
"Izumi," he softly called her name, crouching down in her level. Izumi looked up and looked at him through her teary eyes.
"It'll be alright," he reached out to pat her head.
"Sensei, I... I can't let that happen to her," she stated, trying her best to sound strong. "I'll do anything. I'll do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening to her."

The next few days was spent by Izumi holing herself in the corner of the science prep room two. She was always being persuaded by Tsuchigomori to try and clear her mind.
