Izumi awaited for the painful strike, yet it didn't came. The sound of a harsh thud came from in front of her, leading her to open her eyes. The one who had saved her from Akane's attack came as a surprise. Kou was stood defensively in front of her, his golden staff had stopped the bat from hitting her.
"Don't hurt her, she's done nothing wrong," Kou's voice sounded strangely reassuring for Izumi, relaxing her tensed muscles. Her knees were buckling under her, the fear from being hit had almost made her pass out. Akane huffed, glaring straight towards Kou. The two glared at each other in a tensed silence, before finally deciding to break apart. Kou silently kept watch of Akane for a bit before he turned to Izumi.
"Are you alright?" He asked, worried over the girl. He helped her regain strength, letting her use him as a support to prevent herself from falling.
"I-I'm fine..." Izumi replied, giving him a grateful smile. "Thank you so much for saving me...!"
"Come, now! That was nothing! I wouldn't dare let him hurt my friend," Kou replied with a grin. Izumi's eyes widened at what he had said, feeling her chest warming up at his words.
"You... consider me as your friend?" She asked, an expectant look on her face. He chuckled, his blue orbs staring directly at her pink ones.
"Of course!" He cheerfully answered. Izumi beamed up at him, her eyes lighting up.
"Thank you so much!" At that moment, Izumi felt all the burden from her past slowly lift up from her shoulders, making her breathe easier. Izumi was rather grateful for having Kou by her side, he is a ball of sunshine that never failed to bring a smile on Izumi's face. She hugged Kou, embarrassing the poor blonde. His cheeks bloomed in red from her sudden action, giving him little time to respond. Izumi had let go, a huge grin present on her face.
Nene had gladly informed the two that she had managed to convince Akane to help them figure out whether or not Aoi was a school mystery. Izumi eyed Akane, and so did he, as she was quite worried that he might attack her again. Well, that and the fact that something about him felt rather off.
The four peeked inside Nene's classroom, their eyes set solely on one person. Izumi stood at the threshold, her appearance returning back to normal so she can remain invisible to the normal students.
"Here's the plan, we keep watch over her, undetected, until we identified Ao-chan's secret," Akane ordered, his attention focused at the girl. Izumi scooted a bit closer to the trio, feeling uncomfortable near the four eyed teen.
"Yes sir..." Izumi replied along with the three, their eyes were locked on the purple haired girl. A few minutes passed, and Aoi had received a rather strange confession. The guy ended up being hit by Akane's bat, sending him flying far away.
It continued that way for a couple more times, each of the boys had tasted Akane's wrath. Izumi wasn't even surprised by his crazy antics anymore, yet she didn't understand why he acted like that towards Aoi.
"I always knew... but she really is relentlessly popular with the boys..." Nene cried in despair, envying her friend's popularity amongst the boys. "A true guy magnet...!!"
