Now, i'm not going to lie. There was a time where i used to ship it during Volume 5 and i first thought that Ozpin was a spirit pretty much living in Oscar's body.......................however that changed when episode 3 of Volume 6 came out and revealed the truth behind Ozpin............and it turns out that Oscar isn't even his own person........he's another reincarnation of Ozpin.............that's a bit creepy. Remember that scene from Volume 6

Well i'm sorry Ruby but Qrow has a point and no, Oscar truly is another life
It took me a while to realize this and the ship pretty much died to me although it seems that in Volume 7, there was a scene between the two being this one
And honestly, seeing them like this is pretty creepy. Like Oscar is another Ozpin but as a kid and it's still creepy. This is literally one of the ships that i don't want to be canon. If Oscar was his own person then i won't have problems with it but nevertheless, Oscar is Ozpin ! I'll ship Ruby with anyone else who isn't Oscar. Heck ! I'll even use OCs !
