Emily and normani continues to have their conversation until emily gets a call from dinah.
(Phone conversation)
Dinah:boss there has been a robbery in the neighborhood and shots fired
Emily:ok I'm on my way (hangs up)

Emily:sorry I have to go there has been robbery
Normani:I'm going with you

When Emily gets in her police car driving to where dinah said she was at they get out and see elijah shot and dinah with a gun in her hand.
Emily:what happened
Dinah:the witness is right here
Emily:I don't want to hear from the witness I want to hear from you why is my nephew on the floor
Dinah:Ive called the ambulance
Emily:that's not what I asked you dinah
Dinah then says ok there was a call that there was a robbery so I go check it out and it the perpetrator (points to elijah) and the witness arguing and the fighting so I do my job and I see the perpetrator with the gun in his hands.
So I say to him to put the gun down he wouldn't listen and had the gun pointed to me I thought he was going to shoot so I shot at him.
Normani:(pissed) you shot my son
Dinah:it was only in his arm I didn't kill him
Emily:that's enough dinah
Normani:you could have handled it a different way you could have talked to him he's going through a rough time you didn't have to shoot him
Normani:(looks at emily) why did you hire her emily you go around hiring people that just shoot and you know what I'm done talking
Emily:(sighs) I just can't go around firing people Normani let me just talk to elijah when he's done with surgery
Dinah POV
I can't believe this women how are you going to go off on me when that Elijah boy was the perpetrator he was the one doing the robbing I believe the witness.
Then he pulled a gun out on me now my boss wants to speak to me while we are in hospital and the perpetrator is in surgery like come on now he only got shot in his arm.
It ain't that serious I ain't murder the boy anyways I gotta go my boss is calling me.
Emily:dinah I'm putting you on desk duty for now
Dinah:what why
Emily:it's either that or you get fired because my nephew mom would have my ass if you are not fired
Emily:so consider this a warning you are on desk duty and that final
Dinah:Imma go talk to her
Emily:I rather you not you just shot her son she's pissed off right now

Dinah then says imma pop up at her house with some food you know because girls love food anyways then imma ask her if she wants to go out with me emily cuts in and says I doubt that because normani doesn't want to go out on dates or in a relationship she says that my sister has her heart.
