A young, 5,2, brunette girl with blue-grey eyes and lightly tanned olive skin hiked around a forest area, The girl didn't seem pay any mind to the crumbling areas of the cliff she walked across, she wasn't even paying attention to where she was.

her lack of attention caused her to barely take notice of her foot stepping on an unstable part of the cliff, her foot slipping down caused her to let out a yelp, her eyes widening as she can't grab hold of the side of the cliff to save herself, and then all she sees next is black.

The Girls's POV:

I opened my eyes to see only darkness, I felt like I was floating through the air, making me feel terrified, out of nowhere, I saw a bright, blinding white light, when I turned to look, I had to squint to let my eyes adjust to the light, till I saw an odd looking key.

It was a two-tone coloured key, silver and black, with the head of a bird with ears, and heterochromic eyes, one black eye on the silver side, and a blue eye on the black side, the wings were the most interesting, the were each in the shape of a crescent moon, with the key below the body.

I felt an odd pull to the key and reached out my hand to hold it, and as if it were drawn to me as well, it gravitated towards my hand, the moment it touched my palm, I felt a searing, white hot blinding pain stab into my hand.

I let out a cry of pain, trying to drop the key, but my hand wouldn't respond, soon the pain traveled up my arm and to the rest of my body, then I blacked out once more.

When I awoke, I felt dazed, everything was slightly blurry, I could see a lot of green around me, I rubbed my eyes to try and clear them, when my vision cleared, I could see blades of grass much bigger than I was, I slowly, and shakily stood up, feeling something on my chest and around my neck.

The key was tied around my neck by a piece of black thread, I hesitantly touched it, this time, I didn't feel any pain, but I did feel a strong aura resonating from it, as if it had become apart of me, and I had become apart of it.

I looked away from the key, to get a better idea of where I was, my heart was racing from fear and shock, I could hear a loud sound and a blur flew above me causing me to shriek and duck, I looked up terrified to see a blue dragonfly leaving, the only problem was, that dragonfly was bigger than it's extinct cousin, Meganeura.

I shook in the spot I stood in, my eyes wide from awe and terror,  the realization of the situation had hit hard, I started walking backwards, before my foot slipping down a hill and I tumbled backwards letting out a small cry of shock.

when I reached the bottom of the hill I hit something warm and fluffy, I sat there for a moment rubbing my head, before looking behind me to see what I hit, a pair of bright blue eyes met my grey-blue ones, I jumped back in shock as did the creature in front of me, it letting out a small squeak as it leapt back, shaking.

It took me a moment to realise this was a mouse pup, the little pup was black and grey, with a light bluish-silver underfur, as I start to calm down, I look around and find a sunflower seed that is the size of my arm, I pick it up on hold it out to the frightened baby.

The little black and grey mouse seemed to perk up at the seed it's nose twitching cutely, and hesitantly, crawled over to where I was, nibbling on the seed that I passed over to it, as it ate, I carefully and slowly moved my hand closer to it, till I reached it's soft velvet fur, the little pup froze, before relaxing into my hand, unknown to us both, that day would start a strong bond between us.

TimeSkip brought to lazy author not being able to think of a good way to type up them bonding.

The little mouse pup and I had been walking for a while, she was pretty smart, smarter than I thought, I had managed to figure out she was female by her nodding and shaking her head when I asked out of curiosity and boredom.

I didn't actually think she'd answer, I've been trying think of a name for her since then, I also put a couple more sunflower seeds in my bag to feed her later on, as I sat there thinking I felt something tug my bag down a bit, when I looked to see what had happened I saw my little companion trying to take another seed from my bag, causing me to laugh a little.

"You little thief, what are you doing, you just had one." I told her while laughing, gently pushing her away, before an idea came to me.

"Seems, Bandit suits you then you little troublemaker." I held a teasing tone in my Scottish accent, booping Bandit's nose, making the little pup sneeze, before she squeaked at me happily, seeming to like her new name.

We continue around before settling on a cliff side, me hesitantly, but Bandit seems happy enough there, I didn't like how high it was, it wasn't a death sentence, but it could still do some damage if we fell.

I started to absentmindedly pet Bandit, until I heard the sound of the ground collapsing beneath us and for the third time in a day I fell, me letting out a scream and Bandit letting out a squeak of shock, as we tumbled down, I felt my head hit something and blacked out once again.

Third person POV:

The 5 inch Scottish girl lay there on the ground with blood dripping down her head from the fall, Bandit got up seemingly fine, if a bit shaken and scratched up, she looked over to the small human who took care of her, and scampered over to her, trying to nudge her awake, squeaking at her.

As Bandit was trying to wake up her tiny human mother figure, 5 winged shadows covered the the two bodies, Bandit looked up at the source of the shadows her blue eyes wide in fear, she curled up closer to her unconscious human.

An arm came up to pet Bandit, she was hesitant but allowed it, the owner of the arm cooing calming words to her, as three of the girls carried the scared mouse pup, while the other two carried the Scottish girl.
