In our universe, it's common knowledge that we don't see color until we meet our soulmate. After almost 3,000 years, I'd given up hope.
Until she showed up.

I sit in my room, staring at the monitor displaying Ruri-chan, waiting for Mammon to get home. It's been over 200 years and he still hasn't paid me back! Absolute scum of the earth, I can't believe him. About 10 minutes later, I hear the door open and Mammon talking to the new exchange student. Ah right. That's today. Ignoring the fact that I'll be in front of a totally stranger I rush out of my room, my rage fueling me to continue.

"If it ever looks like a demon is about to attack you, run away. Run away, or die." Mammon says looking at the exchange student.

"How about you die Mammon!" I scream, stepping off the last stair. "I want my money back now."

He looks at me, "give me some more time Levi. You'll get your money back soon enough."

"It's been 200 years, I need it for my limi-"

"First of all its been 260 years, get it right little bro, and secondly no one cares what limited baloney you're gonna buy." He cuts me off, making me even more angry.

"As if that makes it any better!" I start to yell when I feel eyes piercing the back of my skull. I turn around slowly, expecting to see Lucifer, when instead I see the exchange student. I freeze, her (e/c) eyes wide as she looks at me in disbelief, and mine in the same state. Mammon takes this as his chance to get away, but I couldn't care less. Who is she?

As if she was reading my thoughts she introduced herself, "Hi, I'm uh, ehehe, my name is uhm, I'm (y/n)." My mind goes blank as she speaks again. "You're uh, Levi, right? It was, uhm, nice to meet you." She smiles nervously, eyes still wide, and begins to walk away, presumably to find my idiot brother.

Ahhhh, she probably thinks I'm crazy. I am crazy right? This is all in my head. I try to tame my thoughts, still processing the sudden burst of dark purples and blues. Nothing much different from what I normally see but so different than what I'm used to. Forcing myself out of my daze, I run to my room, slamming my door and sliding down to the floor as I lean against it. The bright blue and yellow colors of the jellyfish hanging from my ceiling catching my attention. The light from my monitor illuminating the tendrils coming from their "bodies".

Knock knock knock
"Levi?" I hear her voice again, "aw man, please tell me I got the right door."

I stand slowly, turning around to open the door as I feel my face heat up.

"Oh good. I was worried haha. Uhm," she clears her throat, "Lucifer told me to get you for dinner."

At a loss for words I look away and nod. I follow her to the dining area, even though I know where everything is. Pulling my D.D.D. out of my pocket I take a seat between Lucifer and my younger brother Beel, trying to avoid looking at any of them.

"Leviathan."

My eyes shoot to the source of my full name, and i make eye contact with Lucifer, his red eyes shooting daggers at me. Red. I'm still not used to this.

"I trust you've already met (y/n)?" He asks.

I turn away and nod my head, my face heating up again. "Yes, we met when she got here with the idiot earlier." I mumble.

"HEY! THATS SO NOT-" mammon starts complaining, but I tune him out. I hear (y/n) giggle and catch myself looking at her through my, what appear to be almost violet, bangs.

"Can I go now?" I say to no one in particular, getting up from the table, leaving the golden colored room.

I find myself wandering the halls instead of heading back to my room, soaking in all the colors from the paintings that line the wall. I feel my d.d.d. buzz in my pocket and check it to see a message from lucifer to the group chat.

L: everyone should message (y/n) as soon as they have the chance. She should be able to contact any of us at any given time since she is under our care for the time being.

L: here is her number: (xxx)-xxx-xxxx

As I'm stopped in the hall, adding her contact info to my device, I hear a bunch of dings from behind me. I turn around to see (y/n) standing a few feet away from me checking her messages from my brothers. As I step to turn away and leave before she spots me I hear her voice again.

"Levi, right? Sorry for bothering you but, I just..." she trails.

"Uh is there something you needed? Come with me, I can't let them see me talking to a normie." I grab her by the wrist and pull her to my room.

"Oh wow. This is beautiful. Oh my gOD IS THAT THE TSL COLLECTION???" She gasps and runs to my shelf containing my manga and figurines.

"You know TSL?! Oh my gOSH THIS IS AWESOME NOW ILL HAVE SOMEONE TO BINGE THE FILMS WITH WHEN THE 8TH ONE COMES OUT!" I shout in excitement.

She looks at me with a smile, her cheeks gaining a little pink. Pink looks good on her. Oh my word what am I thinking I barely know this girl. "Uh, you wanted to uhm, talk?" I asked looking towards Henry 2.0, scratching the back of my neck.

Her eyes widen a bit, her face gaining more and more color as she stands there. "Uh yeah. I had a question."

I look back at her. "A question?"

"There's a legend in the human world. I don't know if it's the same down here but, everyone is born seeing only in black and white," she starts. Sounds the same to me, but it isn't a legend. "We see in color when we meet who we're supposed to spend the rest of our lives with. When we meet our soulmates, if you will." She closes her mouth as though she's unsure if she should continue.

"It's the same here. And in the celestial realm. Why are you talking about that?" I ask, trying to find out what she's thinking. Maybe she's meant for one of my brothers. What if she didn't see color looking at me, what if it came from Lucifer, or worse, Mammon? My thoughts are interrupted by her saying my name.

"Levi, did you see the colors too?"
