Time is relative

A subjective clause

We always live

Trying to hit pause

We feel like we are moving

Moving faster, we never last

Time takes no notice

Of our feeble little gasp

We cling so desperately

Our hopes, pinned to a clock

We try to walk backwards

We are dashed against the rocks

Life is but a blip

A feeble light in the dark

Time is our ship

Going everywhere, an ark

We cling to it for fear

That we lose ourselves

Lest we let go of here

Here, time sits on the shelves

We are old dolls

Collecting dust, tired of age

We have time to trust

Our spirits full of rage

For we are earthly beings

Time makes us this way

We are slaves to his hands

We have nothing to say

My spirit cries for freedom

My body is being oppressed

Time holds a whip against me

My soul is being compressed

My feelings grow older

My body loses youth

We are slaves to time

But time is not the truth
