Francesca's POV

We nearly kissed.

That was all that was on my mind for the whole week.

I mean did I like him? Maybe, but the real question was was it the heat of the moment? It didn't seem like something Michael would do but I haven't known him for too long so I can't guarantee. I've tried to avoid him for a while now but it's getting harder and harder considering I'm going to be breaking out with this man soon.

"Did I tell you to speak?" I heard T-Bag from the cell next door.

His question was met with silence and I realised he was probably talking to the young boy who became his cell buddy a few weeks ago, I think his name is Seth. I feel sorry for the boy but there isn't a lot anyone can do, Theodore has sunk his claws into him now.

"Jesus" I sighed to myself as I took my shirt off leaving me in a baggy near enough see through tank top and my heavy blue trousers.

Michael made the accident of turning on the furnace last night so the whole block is boiling and filled with the stench of sweat.

"You gotta do somethin' about this heat boss" I heard Theodore again.

"We are doing the best we can T-Bag" Geary replies, not really paying any attention to the criminal.

"Your best is garbage it a hundred degrees in here"

"Does it look like I got frostbite to you?" Geary snapped as the buzzer went off for count.

"COUNT STAND ON THE LINE"

I walked out of my cell and on the line and waited for the other men.

Geary turned around and Theodore walked out of line and smirked
"Why don't you transfer us somewhere cooler?"

"Shut up Theodore and get in line" I whispered but he just smirked, licked his lips and winked at me.

"Get your ass on the line Bagwell" Geary told him.

More of T-Bags men started to back him up and step out of line all with a wicked smile on their face.

Theodore told Geary that they will move when the temperature is sorted out as all the other men murmured in agreement.

"Quit being a baby T-Bag it ain't that hot"

Theodore's face turned confused as he replied
"Not that hot? When this guy woke up this mornin, he was white!" He shouted pointing at a black inmate.

After that I just tuned him out and turned towards my cell.

"ALRIGHT LOCKDOWN"

I smiled as my cell shut and waited for the peace but it never came.

I peered out my cell and saw Michael looking at me worried from his cell before turning away and walking out of my sight.

"IM GONNA KILL YOU"

I turned to see half of men from the bottom cells rattling the fence separating us from the COs as Bellick smirked up at T-Bag.

Soon enough the cells were open and I turned to the stairs and up to Mike's cell but saw no one there. They must have left and now are roaming around the prison.

I ran down the stairs and made my first exit out of my block and run to look for Michael.

"You know them shows when all of the cheetahs jump on the antelope? Guess which one you are"

Why is it that every time I get brought out my thoughts it's Theodore's voice?

I looked to see Lincoln being jumped on by a load of men so I decide to involve myself.

"HEY GET OFF OF HIM" I shout jumping on one of the men's back.

"Get off my back you bitch" the man said as he shoved me off and to the floor.

I winced as my head smacked off the concrete and watched as Lincoln was beat to the ground and the CO was dragged away by one of the men.

I lay there for a few minutes, unable to move, scared to move actually.

That's until I saw a big figure approach me.

•••

I woke up as I was thrown onto a crappy excuse for a mattress.

Whining, I held my head that was currently pounding. Looking up, I saw a figure looking down at me.

"Hello pretty"

"No! Stay away!" I shouted, recognising the voice.

"Awe, come on, let's play nice" Avocado smirked.

I cried as he grabbed my kicking legs, locking them in place, my screams doing nothing to my advantage.

"Please, don't" I cried, feeling the hot tears fall down my cheeks.

"Don't worry, I'll be gentle"

I closed my eyes and decided on zoning out, holding my breath, keeping the tears from falling.
I imagined life outside the prison.
Life with Michael.

Michael.

Where was he?

•••

I lay there as Avocado finished his 'business'. I didn't know what to do. I could feel the tears fall from my eyes, but that was it.

I felt completely numb.

Where was Michael?

"Are you okay?"

I looked up to see Westmorland staring at me. He always reminded me of my grandpa from my moms side, he was my whole world.

Scared to open my mouth, I just nodded, sitting up and wiping my eyes, dabbing my lip that I realised was bleeding.

Westmorland could see I was in no mood to talk so he nodded, walking out of the cell.

I sniffed a few times, standing up and looking in the mirror on the wall.

The reflection was not something another girl would envy.

My hair was a mess, my lip was cut, as well as my eyebrow. Bruises scattering my face.

I cleared my throat, walking out the cell and up towards Michael and Sucre's cell.

I looked through the entrance to see T-Bag arguing with John. Lincoln was trying to diffuse the tension. Lastly, I looked down to see the guard from earlier cuffed to the bed frame.

"Where's Michael? And Sucre?" I wondered, capturing their attention.

"Sucre is down there and Michael
went after that doctor" Abruzzi told me before he said he's going to find Sucre and help him.

"What happened to you?" Lincoln asked me, grasping my face carefully.

"Nothing" I shrugged him off and turned away.

I felt a warm feeling in my chest and I felt almost angry that Michael was going after another woman.

I was jealous. Just like a school girl over her first crush. But if someone is in danger I guess you can't blame Mike for wanting to help. He was a good man.

But where was he when I needed him?
