Michael's POV

The riot happened a few days ago now and Pope put us into another lockdown that ended today.

I haven't seen Cesca since I looked into her cell before the riot and I was worried about her, she never showed her face so I don't even know if she's okay.

"Alright cons tier time and try to behave" Bellick announced.

Slowly, I walked out of my cell and down the stairs to Cesca's cell.

"Cesca come on you gotta get up" I spoke looking at her small frame wrapped up under the covers.

"Go away"

"Why?"

"I said so"

"Too bad take the covers off your head so I can see you and hear you properly" I told her.

She removed the covers from her body and turned towards me where I could clearly see her bruised nose and pale face with blood stains and her hair looked dried up with blood from the crown of her head that seemed to be connected to her cut eyebrow.

"Cesca what happened?" I asked touching her cheek.

"I- I don't wanna talk about it" she quietly said, cutting herself off.

"Please tell me" I begged.

"Just leave it. I just don't like being all dirty and covered in blood and I feel so ligh-" Fran didn't get to finish her sentence as she passed out cold.

"BOSS"

"BELLICK WE NEED HELP IN HERE" I shouted as a few guards came in asking what happened and radioing the infirmary.

The last thing I saw was Cesca being practically dragged away.

Francesca's POV

I opened my eyes carefully and let them adjust to the very bright room I was currently in.

When my eyes finally went back to normal I turned my head side to side to look for someone, that's when I saw a small women in a white robe writing at a desk.

"Sara?" I dryly whispered.

The woman turned and smiled widely

"Francesca! I'm so glad you're awake. How do you feel?"

"I feel bruised and I have a dry sore throat and kinda light headed" I answered.

I couldn't help but have the thought of Michael saving Sara and becoming too friendly with her when I needed him the most. I couldn't hold a grudge though could I?

"Well you passed out from lack of blood which I should've been informed about due to your anemia" Sara told me, rolling her eyes as she wrote something down on her clipboard.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"Just a few hours, you were brought here about midday yesterday and it's now quite early in the morning"

"Can I please have a drink?" I pleaded.

"Sure" she said walking around "I have this sugary drink, don't tell anyone"

Sara handed me a cup of some sort of soda, winking at me.

"Thank you Sara, truly"

"It's my job Fibonacci" she smiled at me.

"When can I go back to my cell?"

"As soon as you finished that" she smiled before saying her goodbyes and visiting the other patients.

"Return to gen pop" I heard a guard speak before the door buzzed and opened.

"Francesca, you good?" I heard when I turned to my cell.

"Hey John"

"I asked a question"

"I'm fine" I said, not wanting to talk about it.

John looked at me suspiciously but didn't say anything more on the matter.

"alright well Michael wants to talk to us at yard time"

"Us meaning no T-Bag right?"

"Right"

"Its easy just think of it as a map of the US, our cell over there that's New York City, the infirmary which is our exit is California, there is pipes underneath our feet they are-"

"Route 66" Sucre finished for Michael

"Route 66"

It was still awkward, I tried to avoid Michael as much as possible but seeing as I was planning to break out with him and the other men it was proving to be very difficult. I didn't want to tell him about what happened during that riot, no one can know.

"And we are doing this at night?" John questioned.

"That's right" Michael explained.

"We are locked up Fish, your boy is in solitary, are we just gonna fly out of our cages and right into your cell, right into New York City"

"You're not, you are gonna meet me half way in Saint Louis. Route 66 sits underneath that building, the only building on top of those tunnels."

"All we got to do is get in there on PI" Michael directed towards John.

"Shortly after we hit the infirmary and then we will be outside those walls"

"What's in there?" I questioned

"It's an old storage room"

"It's not that easy fish, it's a restricted area, there has to be actual work to be done for me to be able to get in there without COs starting to wonder" John said.

"Well you better figure it out because if we don't get into that room we are not getting out of here"

I turned to the boys shocked, I can't stay here, I am gonna get killed.

Before I could begin to have a panic I was interrupted by the lovely man himself.

"I feel kinda left out" he paused before carrying on

"California, New York, Saint Louis"

"We are talking Baseball actually" Sucre said quickly

"That's a subject I know quite about"

"What a shame, the conversation is over" I said wanting to shut him up quickly.

"Well that ain't a way to treat a team mate" T-Bag spoke slyly.

"I'm coming along with you whether you like it or not cause I've got hell of a singing voice otherwise"

We all walked off leaving Theodore by himself.

"Cesca you gotta talk to me"

"No"

"Why"

"Because Michael" I stopped.

"Because what?"

"Because you picked her"

"Who" he questioned with confusion.

"The doctor" I whispered before charging off to my cell.
