Chela is a 23 year old from Atlanta but moved to New York. She's also a dancer. She doesn't have anyone except, her.
Her life hasn't been good, at all. She saw her father kill her mother when she was 7, before he killed her she would watch him beat her mother sometimes unconscious. She learned how to cook and clean at a young age cause her father got her mother addicted to drugs when she was 4 so her mother would always be out of it, and her father didn't care for her.
After her mother's murder she went to live with her grandmother and uncle. Her grandmother was a mean lady. She always made Chela feel bad cause she looked just like her mother and her mother was gone. She blamed Chela and told her that she should've been killed instead. Her grandmother didn't like Chela and she let it be known.
As Chela got older her uncle became abusive sexually. First it started off with her being touched then things slowly escalated, when she was 15 he went all the way making her run away from home.
Chela did finish high school but she had to work a bunch of dead end jobs and get paid under the table just to survive. Of course people took advantage and they did it cause they could. What was she gonna do?
After Chela finished high school she got her important information from her grandmother and that was the last time she seen any "family". When she was 18.
She began stripping once she was of age and stacking her money. With stripping and her side hustles she saved enough money to move far away and live comfortably. So that's what she did.

Rashad is a 25 year old born and raised in New York. He pretty much own New York, no he does. Police know not to mess with him cause of how dangerous he is. He goes by Uzi cause he go crazy with his red one.
Uzi never knew his father it's always been him, his mother Rita, and his younger sister Chyna. Him being the only male in his house shaped him into a provider and protector.
Uzi is wanted by plenty of women and wanted to be by plenty of men.
Uzi sees Chela at the store one day and she catches his attention. Which is different for him. He sees a woman he wants so he starts to peruse her.
They end up talking then in a relationship not thinking it's a forever thing not knowing they're exactly what each other needs.
