hey!
it's the Quarantine.com team for one last message.
our world has slowly begun to go back to normal. many are going back to work or school or are able to meet up with their friends and family once more.
our goal was to create a place where we could accommodate everyone's needs during such an uncertain time. as humans, we were built to socialize and be in social settings no matter if we were comfortable in them or not.
when that was taken away from us, our team often pondered what was human nature without socialization?
what was human nature with routine?
what was human nature without normality?
these questions kept us up for the first week of quarantine and that's when we as a team decided to create this platform to create a space that would close that divide slightly.
and so we spent many tireless nights coding and programming and researching the ideals and activities of everyday people.
through our research we were astonished to find what people needed in life as well as what they valued.
it gave us a new perspective that we believe really helped bring a sense of reality to our website.
of course now as the world begins to find itself moving back into a state of normality, our team questioned what we would do with our website.
we made this to help others through quarantine but now that a good portion of us aren't in quarantine anymore, what do we do?
over the course of our run, we as a team have grown so much all while being digitally connected, despite living miles apart.
we have learned so much from you guys what we as developers can do to make websites better and how to bring communities together in wonderful ways.
we've received some awe-inspiring stories of how our website helped many of you with your mental health, schoolwork, dangerous situations, and even love lives.
so we as a team thought, "well how could we get rid of something so personal to us?"
so here's what is going to happen to our platform.
we aren't touching it.
it'll be here for as long as modern internet is a thing. many places are still in quarantine or are following a plan that still has them home.
we will be as available as anyone needs.
but we accept that our site won't garner as much traffic now that all the issues are slowly dying down.
thank you for joining us on this journey.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect of this website. My friends convinced me to try it, but I honestly thought it was stupid. But I was dead wrong about that. Your website allowed me to meet new lifelong friends and I met someone who I'm so incredibly in love with that it's hard to even function. We spent hours talking through your website, so thank you for allowing me this chance to not feel so socially distant and give me an opportunity to connect with someone so great :)
thank you for commenting and leaving a rating. we look forward to reading it.
we will leave you here now as this will be our final developers' announcement. we hope that you all continue to find joy in times of darkness and we hope your quarantine was more enjoyable.
stay safe and stay healthy!
