It was the weekend, and normally on the weekends Jungkook would throw parties and invite all his stupid friends from school who only liked him for his money.

But, there was no party, and I already knew it was because he was paranoid about that letter from Hoseok. He wasn't about to let just anyone into our house after that.

As I came downstairs, I noticed that Jungkook wasn't even home. I frowned as I made my way into the dining room where my parents were sitting with clenched jaws.

My mother noticed me first, and she made a small gesture for me to sit down. I cautiously made my way to sit down next to her, and she let out a long sigh as I did. "How did you sleep, honey?"

"Alright? Where's Jungkook?" I questioned, glancing around for any sign of my brother. I looked back over at my mother, who was now pursing her lips.

"Don't freak out," she mumbled softly, before letting go of my dad's hand and pulling a folded up piece of paper out of her pocket. "This was on the table when we came downstairs."

I took the letter from her and unfolded it to read it.

To Whoever Finds This,

By the time you read this, I'll be gone. He went too far with this one, trying to threaten my family, my sister especially. I know I made a mistake but he needs to grow up and move on.

I have to confront him. It seems to be the only way he'll finally leave the past in the past. Please don't come looking for me, and please don't contact the authorities. We all know it'll do more harm than good.

To Chaeyoung, don't be so worried about me. I can take care of myself. I'll be back before you know it. Please be careful when you go out places. Don't go alone, go with a friend or have mom or dad take you. I'm sorry you're apart of this now, I hope one day you can forgive me.

I'll see you all soon.

~Jungkook

Idiot.

That stupid idiot!

I tossed the letter back at my parents and stood up abruptly, marching out of the dining room angrily. "Where are you going?"

"To my room," I snapped back at my dad as I stomped up the stairs. I pushed open the door to my room and immediately grabbed my phone to call my idiot brother.

"Hey, this is Jungkook. I'm a little busy at the moment but I'll give you a call back as soon as I can. Thanks!"

"Fucking idiot!!" I shouted, throwing my phone onto my bed and grabbing two fistfuls of my hair in frustration. I let my knees give out and collapsed onto the floor, curling up into a ball on the hardwood floor.

I hated these mixed feelings of anger and worry. Why would he go back? Because Hoseok was threatening me?

"I can take care of myself," I sighed to myself, sitting back up and staring at my phone on my bed. "I wish you would stop treating me like a child."

At that moment, my phone began to ring and I leaped onto my bed in hopes it was Jungkook. But, I didn't recognize the number calling me and sighed as I reluctantly answered the phone. "I don't have a car so please stop calling me about my cars extended warranty."

"Is that how you always answer the phone for numbers you don't recognize?"

It didn't take me long to recognize the voice as Jimin's and I mentally face palmed myself. "I'm sorry. It's been a rough morning. How'd you get my number?"

"Phone book, and before you laugh, yes people still use them," he said, and I could hear him smiling. "I hope you don't think it's weird that I called you."
