I kept getting this feeling that Jimin was up to something.

Every time I turned my back, I would feel his energy change. He seemed on edge and anxious about something, but I couldn't even begin to guess what.

"We should head back to town," I finally said after having sat in uncomfortable silence for 20 minutes. "My parents are probably starting to wonder where I am."

"Yeah I'll drive you back," he said after a moment, brushing off his pants and gesturing for me to go first. I started walking back the way we came, feeling that strange energy from him again. "Hold on."

He grabbed my wrist and I turned around to look at him wide eyed. "You...you realize what you just did right? Leading me out here?"

"What are you talking about?" I asked as he chewed on the inside of his cheek.

"You barely know me, I could have been trying to kill you for all you know. This is the perfect place to kill someone you know and--"

"I brought you out here because I trust you," I cut him off, turning my whole body to face him as he pursed his lips. "If you really were a murderer or whatever you could have killed me the first day we met. But you didn't. Call me an idiot, but I trust you because of that."

I pulled my wrist from his hand and continued back the way we came to his car. He was quiet now,and I kept glancing at him from over my shoulder to make sure he was still there.

As I moved to get into his car, he stopped me, turning me around and staring into my eyes. I felt him press something cold against my neck, and it didn't take me long to realize it was a knife. "Can you trust me even when I have this knife to your neck? What's stopping me from slicing your neck open right now?"

"Because you don't have it in you," I answered calmly, not even slightly alarmed by the knife. "I don't think you have what it takes to kill someone. You have a pure heart, I can see it through your eyes."

He looked taken aback by my answer and stumbled away, shaking his head and tugging on his hair. "You're so naive, you know that? You know...nothing about me. Don't pretend you do."

With that, he moved to get into the driver's seat of his car and I quietly got into the passenger's seat. He tossed the knife into the backseat and started the car. It occurred to me that he had a knife on him the entire time. But for what?

I swallowed hard as I brushed the thought from my mind, looking out the window. His vibe had changed, and I couldn't quite put my finger on what had happened. Had I said something wrong?

"Jimin--"

"You really need to be more careful," he spoke at the same time as me, and I pursed my lips as I let him finish talking. "I see why you get treated like a child still, you act like one. You're reckless, but I guess that's why I kind of like you. We're kind of the same in that way."

"You sound like my brother," I groaned as he chuckled softly. Bringing up Jungkook made me remember that he had gone out and done some reckless shit himself. "You know...my brother is kind of an idiot. Maybe that's where I get it from. But, he protects me, so I'll give him credit where it's due."

Jimin fell silent again, and I could sense that there was something he wanted to ask. "Would you like to go somewhere with me? That is if you still trust me, I did just pull a knife on you."

I laughed a bit, nodding my head as he smiled tightly. "If it won't take too long. It is getting dark out and my parents are quite paranoid as of late."

"It won't take more than 5 minutes, I swear. I just...have something I need to get off my chest," he said as he started the car. I crossed my legs and turned to look out the window. "I'm sorry for...you know. I hope I didn't scare you or anything."

I glanced back over at him, and even though his eyes were focused on the road I could see there was a war going on behind them but I had no idea why. What was this man hiding from me?

"I told you, it's fine. I wasn't scared at all, surprisingly. I just knew you couldn't do it. I can tell when people are dangerous," I answered as we came to a stop at a red light. He turned to look at me as I smiled to show him I meant my words. "Where are we going anyway?"

"There's someone I want you to meet. He's...sort of like my best friend. We've been friends since we were children, and he knows everything there is to know about me," he said as we took a turn down a street. The surrounding houses started to look like the ones in my neighborhood. "I just figured that if anyone can tell you about me, it's him. And he'd be more than happy to embarrass me in front of anyone, especially a girl."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, wondering why he couldn't just tell me about himself. What secret could be be hiding?

We turned into the driveway of a very expensive looking house, and I chewed on the inside of my cheek as Jimin turned the car off. He took in a deep breath before tilting his head to look at me.

"Just a warning, he can be a bit of a handful. If at anytime you feel overwhelmed by his presence let me know," he said as he pushed open his door. I turned to open mine, stepping out of the car and glancing at the house behind me. "Oh, it's just us that live here. I know it's...kind of a big house for two people but my parents insisted."

I just nodded as I followed him up the steps to the house, watching as he unlocked the door and pushed it open. Upon entry, a small dog was quick to approach me. I smiled widely, kneeling down and petting him softly.

"That's Taehyung's dog, Yeontan. He's friendly so no need to be worried--"

"Jimin, you're finally home?!" A mans voice came from somewhere inside the giant house, and I watched as Jimin pinched the bridge of his nose.

I could hear someone running around upstairs, followed by the heavy thudding of whoever it was running down the steps. I peeked out from behind Jimin to see a tall man approaching him with a large boxed smile.

"I didn't think you'd ever come home! Thought maybe you got into some trouble with the job and--" He stopped mid sentence when he finally noticed me kneeled on the floor with his dog sitting by my feet. His eyes went wide and he was about to say something when Jimin slapped his hand over his mouth.

"Choose your next words wisely, Taehyung," he mumbled before moving his hand from his mouth. I shifted awkwardly between my feet as Taehyung stared at me for a moment. "Say anything to embarrass me and you're done."

"You're a lot prettier than I imagined!" He blurted out, and I felt my cheeks flush in both shock and embarrassment as Jimin slapped Taehyung's arm. "Ouch! What was that for? What did I say wrong?"

"Excuse him. I've brought you up in conversation once before and now he doesn't know how to act," Jimin said, shooting a glare at Taehyung. Something seemed to click in his brain as he nodded silently. "This is Chaeyoung. Jungkook's younger sister."

"Wait you know Jungkook?" I questioned, and Jimin nodded his head slightly. "What? How, he's never mentioned either of you before."

"He doesn't know Jimin, he knows me. We were both friends with Hoseok before...the accident happened."
