"Thank you" Dorothy elegantly smiled as she stepped out of the taxi that brought her to the facade of chestertons. Stepping onto the pavement she began to realise how nervous she really was. It wasn't about the fact that she was finally looking at buying her own house but the nervousness that she felt bubbling inside of her stomach was to do with the fact that she was going to have to deal with Mr Ford or James, as he asked her to call him.

Following the decision that she made with Mr Ford on the previous day she found herself waiting patiently outside of the Real Estate Agency, where she constantly questioned her own sanity. Sighing she ran her hand through her dark and unruly hair, which she had forgotten to brush and by now it had resumed its waviness.

"Miss Shelby." Mr Ford greeted, as Dorothy turned around she saw the handsome American walking towards her confidently and with a newspaper tucked under his arm. "I was told you liked to read the paper" James as he admired Dorothy's wildness, despite the high fashion that he had noticed she often wore. "I do thank you," Dorothy replied as she scanned the newspaper for anything interesting. "Anything of any worth?" Mr. Ford inquired as he leaned over Dorothy's shoulder to get a better look at the paper. "Not today but I appreciate the thought." Dorothy smiled up at the American. "Well then, shall we begin our search?" James asked as he offered his arm and led Dorothy into the Estate Agency.

Once they stepped in Dorothy and James were instantly greeted by one of the workers. "Ah, you must be Miss Shelby and Mr Ford." the man greeted as he marched over to the pair, who stood somewhat awkwardly in the middle of the room. "I am Charles Chesterton. Your brother, Mr Shelby wanted nothing but the best for his sister, so here I am." Charles chuckled as he enthusiastically shook Dorothy's and then James' hand. "That sounds exactly like my dear brother, constantly meddling." Dorothy grinned as she shook Charles' hand with as much enthusiasm. "You better keep a firm hold on this one Mr Ford, she's a rare beauty. You don't get any better." Charles explained as he gave James a pat on the arm. "Oh, I plan to." James replied as he sent Dorothy a quick wink. "Now, let's get straight to business. We've got a house to sell." Charles explained as he led Dorothy and James to his private office.

"We have this beautiful property, which has recently come on the market. It was previously owned by the Duke of Wellington and was Benjamin Dean Wyatt and Robert Adam in the Neoclassical and Gothic Revival style" Charles Chesterton explained as he handed Dorothy and James black and white images of the building." Well, it certainly is a beautiful bit of architecture" James commented as Dorothy looked up at the man, who was one day going to be her husband and perhaps the father to her children. Was that something that she wanted? Could she be a peaky and a mother? Could she raise children in a house that once belonged to a Duke? With the image of photo she realised just how out of her depth she felt.

"We'll take it. Won't we Miss Shelby?" James inquired casting a look at his bride to be. "Hm? Oh yes, we'll be very happy here." Dorothy nodded before turning her attention back to the image her home.
