That night, Liam managed to convince his mum to let Niall sleep over at the sacrifice of agreeing to clean the whole house the following weekend. *sigh*

They lay on top of Liam's bed watching 'The Hangover' but Liam mostly watched Niall as he laughed and silently awed whilst Niall secretly gazed at Liam in the moments he wasn't watching him.

Liam learned that Niall was born in Mullingar in Ireland (hence the accent) and lived there until he was 11, when his dad died and his mum decided to relocate them. Liam saw a side to Niall he hadn't seen before, he comforted Niall when he began to talk about his dad and he placed sweet, gentle kisses on Niall's face every chance he got.

Niall realised Liam wasn't actually shy, or snobby like he had originally thought the first time they talked. Niall had never taken well to knew people but Liam made him feel more calm than people he'd known all his life did. He listened to Liam's story of how he came out to his family and friends and apologised a million times over for how he had reacted.

Every now and then they would stop talking and just stare into each others eyes. Like a corny Nicholas Sparks book to movie adaptation, they told each other things about themselves no one knew - they shared their firsts and their fears. They learned each others favourite foods and promised to cook them for each other, then buy them takeout when it undoubtedly went wrong. Niall and Liam realised they were the perfect fit in every way and cemented their words in kisses and private moments no one could ever take away from them. They fell in love as they fell asleep on each others arms, comfortable in the knowledge they would be there for each other when they woke from the bliss.

On the nights they  couldn't share physically, neither boy could think about anything other than each other. People noticed and they didn't care. Liam's sisters would tease him for begin a 'love sick' puppy and he would nod and sigh in agreement. Zayn would have to repeat himself more times than he cared to count because Niall would only be focusing on the way Liam's eyes crinkled when he laughed, or how his cheeks would burn whenever he was complimented.

The nights when Liam could convince his mum to let Niall sleepover, (not caring she soon began to drop hints about 'being safe') were even better. Slowly but surly the two boys became more comfortable with each other, not caring if the other one cut them off with a kiss because that's exactly what they wanted to do anyway.

It was on the 5th night they spent together that, after discussing their hate for homework and an impromptu make-out session, that they fell into a comfortable silence.

"Liam?" Niall whispered, not wanting to ruin the moment but not being able to stay quiet.

"Yes Niall?" Liam chuckled, he had become accustomed to Niall's worrying and carefulness, he found it quite adorable and never failed to coo at Niall for it.

"I know it's barely been two weeks... but i love you. With all my heart." Niall tilted his head and looked down at Liam who had his head resting on Niall's chest.

Liam smiled and leaned his head up to kiss Niall in an awkward 'i really want to make out but i'm too comfy right here' kiss.

"I love you too Niall."

A few people noticed Niall and Liam's longing looks in school, or they would comment on how if you saw one of them you could almost guarantee the other wasn't far behind. It was like since confessing their love, something had clicked, like jigsaws. If Niall was sad, Liam was his elixir. If Liam was laughing in hysterics it would be because of something Niall had said.

Since being together, Niall hadn't smoked a single cigarette, been drunk or gotten into any trouble, despite Liam insisting he didn't want Niall to change for him because he actually secretly loved the bad boy side to Niall. If Niall had forgotten his lunch, Liam would instinctively know and hand him half of his sandwich the moment Niall sat next to him.

No one questioned it, no one dared. It was like watching a man fall in love with his shadow, they were that connected! When Liam's parents convinced him to invite Niall over for dinner, they never expected to witness what they did. Liam would open his mouth to ask for someone to hand him the potato's, but Niall would already be doing so. If Niall leaned one way, Liam automatically leaned with him - they were perfectly in sync with each other.

There were days when Niall would come into school red eyed and bruised and Liam would know he didn't want to talk or be around people so he would keep his distance and Niall would be eternally grateful. There were times when Niall could see Liam was unsure and scared, so he would place gentle kisses on every bit of skin Liam would allow and Niall would repeatedly say 'I love you, i love you, i love you Liam James Payne..."

On their one month anniversary, Liam begged his family to go out for dinner and leave him the house. They agreed but not before Liam had to endure the awkward but necessary 'be safe' talk. Liam wanted the night to be special. A special night for a special boy.

When Niall arrived, he looked incredible and Liam had to physically stop himself from dragging Niall to his bed right there and then.

As promised, Liam made Niall his favourite meal - Irish casserole. And, as predicted, Liam left it on for too long so by 9pm they were feeding each other domino's pizza and watching Toy Story... except that when the pizza was finished, the movie no longer interested them and they became too engrossed in a make out session.

"We should go upstairs." Liam said heavily as he pulled his hand out from under Nialls plaid shirt.

"Only if your sure." Niall replied, caressing Liam's face.

"I'm sure." Liam comforted, leading Niall to his room where he had already lit candles, put on fresh bed sheets and the recording Liam had made of Niall playing guitar when he found out he played, was on repeat quietly in the background.

"Liam..." Niall said in awe at his incredible boyfriend.

"I wanted it to be special." Liam blushed.

"Every moment with you is special." Niall mumbled, pulling Liam down onto the bed and into his arms.

I have decided to end this story here, even though there is more to the story, simply because i think that ending is so sweet and FEEELS and the last 3 chapters don't really add anything to the story considering there isn't really a plot to this story. Originally there was (and that's evident in the last 3 chapters) but i think its unnecessary when that's such an adorable ending and after all who says a story needs a proper, conclusive ending? I'll leave it to your imaginations as to what happens next and who knows maybe i'll add on the next chapters at a later date? :p xxx

I hope you enjoyed this short story, i know it was a bit all over the place in terms of plot and i realised the tensing is a little off but I'm not used to writing like that, or indeed writing a short story like this :D Happy New Year everyone, I hope ya'll are ready for another year of being Niam and 1D AF!!!! <3
