Chapter 5 - Assistant for a Bug

"You want me to help you teach with the midterms coming up? Look, you made me a helper to help with student problems. What makes you think I can even teach as well as you?" Bug was writing on the blackboard with me standing near my desk, he wanted to talk privately before the class began. "I know it isn't exactly normal for a student to be teaching but don't worry. Just help where you can, it's all I can ask." I suppose it's fair enough that I can do that, though I do have only one question. "Why the hell I gotta wear this headband!?" "You don't have to but you can if you really wanna!" Like hell I would wear it!". This class is gonna need all the help it can get, and hopefully I'll be able to put in my part. The class had started and just like he said he provided help to every student excluding me by making doubles of himself. I managed to help a few but since I didn't have the super speed mine was more of a slower but at least I think better teaching. "You know, teaching actually suits you (Y/N). I think you are helping everyone you've gotten to so far.".

"Thanks Nagisa, I'm helping everyone and I'm still delvoping my knowledge. Now focus on the questions, we need to use whatever time we have to study." We finished all the questions thst I had given and by the end of day I feel like everyone was getting closer to getting to the top of the finals. I was overlooking my notes at my desk alone in the classroom, I can't say I was exactly relaxing over what I was reading. Nagisa has been keeping notes and what he has shared with me is not good. We knew this bug was impressive but it almost seems like he is getting faster and devolping new talents. This is opening up new windows into what he truly is, I'm going to put forth my own hypothesis. This is new for him, the form he has taken must not have been from birth. He could have been experminted on or perhaps it was some kinda chemical reaction... Though I don't really have anything to back this up. I can add one point to this thesis though, if this really is a born disease then why did he suddenly blow up the moon... It just doesn't make any sense. If anything... Killing him is going to be tougher the longer this goes on, so we need to finish this as soon as possible by getting stronger and smarter then him!

Things changed very quickly in the one day from when we started, it looks like he is even trying harder and because of that he is actually making it harder to learn now. I've been basically pushed off to the side since he is moving to fast, It wasn't until after the lesson that it truly shined on him that this was exhausting for him. "Drink this Bug, Can't have you quiting on us yet.". I gave him one of the energy drinks I had hidden while the others gathered around. "I don't see why you are trying so hard teach? I mean it's not like we can ever get better then Class-E." Dammit Maehara, don't think like that. "Yeah, if we manage to kill you then our grades don't very much matter do they?" . I can't blame them for thinking like that but wouldn't they like the chance to stand among the top for once?

"So that's whst you all think then? Killing me is your only plan? Whst about you my assistant, do you agree with them or not?" Heh, I disagree with them hole heartily but I understand their point. "No I don't agree." I'll keep it simple and let's leave it at that. "Everyone, outside in the field! Immediately!" Damn it, how the hell is this going to go? Everyone gathered outside while I got the two teachers, we gathered at the steps while the bug stood in the field. "Miss Jelavic, as your professional opinion as an assassin. Do the plans you make always work out and you never have to resort to a plan B?" "My professional opinion? Well if you say so. Yes I can never relay on only one plan, you never know what might happen while on a mission." "Mr. Karasuma, Do you think that they are anywhere ready to kill me?" "We've had many people attempt life on him and I'm going to be honest. I don't even think I could have a chance at his life, everyone still needs more training and its going to get only harder from here.". I see what he is doing, this is a supposed ultimatum. In the end we have the best chance and even if we do succeed with the assassinstion.... Money is only a value in which how you use it, the smarter you are then it's more valued. "My loyal and faithful assistant, Do you perhaps have anything to add?" "First of all, shut it with the assistant crap. I do want to add my own point of view. No matter what happens during our time in this class I think our lives will change, So I want to put my full effort into this and I think everyone should no matter what.".

"Thsts why I present to you this!" The bug started to spin around in such a speed he managed to form a small tornado and when the dust finally setteled the overgrown field was made entirely new and it looked almost like an actual school field. "I could destroy this planet in mere seconds and It will take your full effort! That's why if you all don't score in the top 50 of the mid terms then I will be leaving this school!" Immpossible! There is no way this could even be possible! "Hold on! That isn't possible! You can't just leave if we lose!" "Oh! Why not young (Y/N)? Yes I agreed to teach you all and that's that. If you all won't try to accept my teachings I see no point in staying. Is it because you are actually starting to like me thst you don't want me to leave?" He showed those annoying green stripes... Bastard! I pulled out my pistol and unloaded and after I was empty I threw the gun but like always he dodged every pellet. He ran away while everyone was silent until I broke it with an announcement. "We are not letting the bastard win! You all have my full attention from this point forward. If you need help then all you have to do is ask!". I know this came as a shock to everyone but this isn't happening, he is not getting away!

The time had finally come for the mid terms and I can't exactly say whenever the class is ready or not. We had to take the exams on the main campus and when it came to the test, It was like facing down a giant beast from a Manga. An arena with beasts we must take down one by one and the only way is to expose the weakness of each question. "Everyone! Keep it together and find the answer. Keep calm and don't falter!" We managed to hold ourselves together for the first three questions, the fourth question was an entirely different! We were all getting pushed back and thankfully for the teaching of the bug and my extra help we managed to continue at a great pace. Monster after monster fell to our styles of assassinstion, and everyone was still going together and as we reached question eleven... It was a complete Wipeout. Everyone besides Nagisa, Karma, and I were taken out. "Dammit! Be careful Nagisa!".

In the end no matter what a majority of the class had fallen prey to the mid terms, the bug was sulking at the front of the room while we sat at our desks. "I'm sorry everyone, I've let you all down. I should have expected the principal to pull a stunt like that.". That bastard principal at the main campus pulled a fast one, He taught the entire main campus this new material that was added last minute without anyone up here being updated. A knife was tossed at the front board and while the big dodged it was just an attention grabber. "Oh come on teach, your not going to run and toss bag are you?" "Karma! What have I said about tossing knives in class and are you calling me a coward?" "I could be but you should check this." Karma may have slacked off during all the studying but he managed to score in the top five as number four. "Dont forget about (Y/N), why the hell you staying so quiet about it?" "Yeah, I get it Karma. I got fifth on the exams. Here is the results, now if you are leaving bug I just wanna say one thing. Never underestimate this class.". My results along with Karma's seemed to spark a light in the class again and before long everyone was picking on the big once again. It looks like he is going to be staying which means we still have the job. Kill the bug by the end of the semester otherwise he'll blow up the planet. I know when I first started this assassination I was ass hanging it but after I had a dream the other night I can't help but think maybe this will lead me to my memory.

"How many times do I need to explain? The procedure was going all according to plan and you failed once again! In this end I assume you still haven't gone above what was required! Enough! I'll be arriving as soon as I finish my task here." I hung up my phone and looked over at my victim. "So you still have some life in you? I suggest just giving into the pain and falling asleep, goodbye my last subject... At least for now." With my tools now entirely clean and packed away, it was time to join them at the main site.

Was that me or was it just a dream? Dammit all if I had caused whst I saw in the dream because if it was real then I might not want to get my memory back. "Hey (Y/N), thanks again for the help. I think you and Korosensei really helped the entire class." "Its no problem Nagisa, like I said feel free to ask me any questions you have. I think I'm starting to like this class a little bit more.".
