Elinor was quite surprised at how her sister was taking everything. Ada had just lost her husband, her best friend, her soulmate. She couldn't even imagine what her sister was feeling while looking down at the coffin laying six feet below. The hardest thing for everyone at the funeral was taking acknowledge of the fact that Ada wasn't the only one who lost someone. Thomas lost his dear friend, and Karl would now grow up without his father. It was devastating for everyone. But luckily for little Karl, he had an strong family looking at after him.

Once the funeral had ended, Thomas pulled Ada aside while the cousins looked after Karl. Already seeing red flags, Elinor quickly followed the two down the path, alongside Polly. Elinor knew her Aunt was fuming. Polly wanted to be the one to ask her niece about her moving back home. But Tommy did what he usually does anyway; what he wanted.

"Karl's with his cousins. I caught them trying to pinch flowers off a grave."Polly quickly interrupts the two siblings conversation, secretly hoping that they had managed to interrupt Thomas from ruining his sisters mood any further with unnecessary questions. Ada only responds with an hum of slight amusement, which could easily be mistaken for joy. But Elinor being the true empath she was, knew that her sister only felt ambivalent towards the bittersweet moment that her Aunt had shared with her. Elinor couldn't blame her sister for it.
Hell, no one could...

"Ada..." Polly starts off, only creating an instant frown upon the widows face. Almost as if Ada knew what exactly her Aunt was going to say next.

"Are you coming home?" Polly finally asks the girl, who which looks back at the woman with an look of displeasure.

"I'm going home." She informs Aunt Polly, who clearly looked disappointed.

"Its alright, Poll... We make Ada embarrassed." Tommy informs the woman, whilst blowing the smoke from his lips, leaving Ada only frowning more than before.

"That's not what I said." She informs the two woman who stood beside Thomas, looking rather puzzled from his comment.

"There's another reason we want you home... We're planning an expansion. I'm taking premises in London." Thomas informs Ada, who which only scoffs out in response.

"Tommy—This is an funeral, business can wait." Elinor instantly scolds her eldest brother, who only rolls his eyes in response.

"Elinor, if Ada was weeping, then I'd stop, but she's not." He informs his sister, before turning towards Ada once again, and proceeding on with his conversation. "The expansion means it's gonna be dangerous to be an Shelby in a London for awhile."

"Yeah. Well, I'm not a Shelby anymore. And I'm
not an Thorne now either—I'm free." Ads informs Thomas, whilst holding a tone of confidence.
