The cold wind was blowing against the school uniform, ah..what a shame..I didn't bring a jacket today. I could have stayed away from home if it wasn't so cold.

Hwayoung paused a for a bit before opening the door. do I really want to stay anyway?

"Hwayoung-ssi. We're having dinner early today!" Her mother yelled from the dining room. Dinner has always been early now. Now that examinations have begun. I guess mother has more time to yell.

The four were at the table. The father. The mother. The little brother. And her.
"Byunghoon scored a perfect 100 in his math today!" her mother cheered, slicing off a big piece of the cake. "And you..Hwa." She gripped the knife harder "you scored a 55." She dropped the knife on the glass table, looking at her daughter and smiling. "That means you won't have any cake, right disappointment of a child?" Hwayoung was silent. Looking down, face heating up as tears started to swell in her eyes.

"I know."

"Good." Her mother stood up and started walking towards her, Hwayoung puts her phone in the pocket of her skirt. "YOU BITCH!"
Her mother hit her many more times. "IT'S BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN PHONE! GET A FUCKING LIFE! NOW LEAVE! I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE IN MY HOUSE AGAIN!" Hwayoung quickly stood up, going straight for the door, almost running.

It's like this every year so she already knew where to go and stay. She knew what would happen anyway. She looked around and slowly pulled the phone out of her pocket, her tears falling from her face as she smiles.

If you smile and laugh, you'll forget why you're upset in the first place!

Having someone to talk to is a good feeling when you're like this. Scrolling through the contacts of the friends you gained earlier this year was also a good feeling.
