The Island Trip (here start the fun part)

Max was surprised hearing those things and was just standing and staring at the direction where the driver took the road.

He didn't even realize that all the people were now starting to go on board of the ferry which just landed.

Alex called out him, "Max!!! Come on man, ferry will leave soon", he flinched a little then gathered his thoughts and took his bags and started walking.

All settled around the desk, everybody was talking and whispering and were mesmerized by the view of beautiful sunset and glowing ocean which was surrounding them. Although Max was not able to get the odd feeling out of his mind.
Others were able to see that.

"Hey, what are you thinking?, you look like you saw something! 🤭", Sophia said.

" Ahh, sorry guys it's nothing big but i kinda was thinking about what the driver said to me when he left", Max replied.

"Did he said something?.. Ohh that's why you were late, by the way what exactly was he talking about? ", Dean asked out of curiousity.

" He told something about rumors surrounding the island, weird-",
"Really!!!... I read about some too, but it was so vague", Sophia exclaimed

" Did he told about it?! Did-", "let him speak Sophia, stop asking let him speak", Alex said with a sigh.

" Thank you Alex, otherwise she would not been stopped,
So as I was saying, he said something about missing person and people being traumatised and what not but I agree that it all sounded very vague", "I don't know what to think about it, it can be just rumours you know, I think I am overthinking", Max said.

" Ya but what's new, you always think sooo much", Annie said in a teasing tone.

Everybody laughed about it, Dean high-fived Annie and Max just rolled his eyes but started smiling too.

Air become light and now actually Max also started enjoying the ride.

They made up to the island, everything looked so good and perfect.

Not too bright but not too much darkness too,
Festivities were going to start as the instructor came and explained all about the plans.

Instructor advised all to first go to the respective tents and wash up and in 30 mins or so he will gather all and will guide them and show them around.

Everybody hummed and started going to the reception area.

Checking and responsibilities of taking care of booked staying area was Annie's responsibility, so they all gathered in the corner as she go to the reception.

"Okay squad, letzzz go! , BTW guys
Our tents are little inside the island, interesting",
" As we discussed, we booked for two tents but anyone can take any room, as long as all agree", Annie said.

When given the tickets they also handed out the maps to them, in which the directions were given to there tents and also to the places to visit.

As they were going to pick there bags in the lobby and going out towards the tents.

A dark shadow hiding behind the trees was watching out the tourists.
A silent breeze flows by, ruffling up her duffle bag and her long hair.
She watched the group came out ,
Out of curiousity, she followed them.

Alex felt unsettling feeling that someone was watching them.

Tried to wriggle it out of its system but the feeling just creeping him out a little bit, so he looked back and sideways, to calm himself,
"See, there's nothing to worry about Alex, nothing", he kept saying to himself.
They eventually got to their tents and settled down, and chit chatting.
Alex forgot those nervousness and relaxed and laughed out a little over the stupid arguments they all were having.

She smiled, a crooked smile as she knows what to do next, decided that she indeed will have lots of fun with this group.
